Why Is Ashwin So Revengeful Against Maya?

I think the problem with his leg has something to do with Maya. May be when he was abusing her mom or Maya herself, she pushed him or something of the sort. So he never wants her to be happy as she also has made her mother away from him who was "ande ki mugi" for him. That must have really make him angry with her and hate her. It's clear he hates her and loves tormenting her. That's why the creepy smile and the satisfaction whenever Maya is scared of him. He loves that. He wants her to be always traumatized. He can't see her happy. More we will know once they show complete of Maya's past.

Maya's and her mums life is great, luxurious and then there's ashwin...
also I feel he knows Maya is pagaal so with Maya being with Arjun he can cure her and ashwin may not want that to happen, he doesn't want Maya to be happy
