This is a special message for Smriti on IF since she said that she reads this forum regularly.

First of all I would like to congratulate you on making a serial of the caliber of Virudh. The original storyline and concept was amazing. I just wish it had remained on that track and not succumbed to the TRP game. Unfortunately one does understand why it is done but it was very frustrating to watch a perfectly well made serial go haywire.

Now that it is coming to an end - A good logical end is what you have promised us - I just hope it is.

My suggestion to you is as follows :

I think you are a good storywriter and a good storyteller. It would be great to watch a good story for a limited time. Look at how interesting and nice some of these pakistani serials are. they are well written good stories and for a short duration. their production does leave a lot to be desired. but we have overcome that hurdle in india.

Why don't you concentrate on those kind of serials. they will do well. Imagine stories like Buniyaad and Hum log with today's production houses. they had their run and finsihed.

i agree with what you said these leaps and crazy stories don't work.

Do make some nice serials which are good stories that have a start and an end.

We would really enjoy that kind of genre of Serials on Indian Television.

well written....i hope smriti read this.....even i like nice and short serials.
of recent times one such example is Astitva-ek prem kahani. that was a wonderful serial and one of my all time fav serial. not a single episode was boring.

another nice serial was Khamoshiya Kab Tak. it was of very short duration with a strong and unique storyline.

i totally agree with u ppl...Smriti gave us a great show with a realistic touch and sensible story line.i agree that at some points it fluctuated but the over all serial has been tremendous...u r rite that pakistani serials used to be based on very much on real lives of common maas in a society and their upheavels of life.but however...thr r some chanels on pakistani media which r like banwagon and producing the saas bahu kind of long and long serials but again they r very few.some of the private channels have produced really good dramas only about of 20 episodes (maximum) and then they end but they leave an imprint onto ppl's heart and mind with their heart touching stories.
i would like to say congratulations to Smriti for giving us a show like virrudh and i would also like to request her to produce more shows like virrudh and with some other storylines of short duration ,with the essence of reality for us...
i hope she reads our views here on the forum...

I am so glad to read that someone else also enjoyed a serial like Khamoshiya - it was so good. all the actors in it were amazing. that's EXACTLY the kind of dramas that i was talking about. Interesting storyline well told for a short period of time.

nowadays the serials go on and on. leaps and leaps. who is interested in knowing about the entire life of one person. in kyunki we see tulsi from teenager to great grand mother. if they want to stay with the family then move on to the next generation. don't keep them hanging on like BA living for ever and asking us to suspend our brains and credibility and believe that a person can live for on as you bring in generation after generation. utter madness.

just because the public loves ba she must live and for the rest of the story you kill characters, change nature of characters to suit a storyline.

i would like to proceed with the view that serials like kyunki and rest of the kekta's serials are still being watched in most parts of india and pakistan since people dont think that they r actually giving tv viewing their precious time so there should be something in them to learn from...on the contrary they r just interested to see their fav characters and latest designs of outfits and ornaments .... lolzzzzz 😛

Well done 👏 👏 Smriti. I hope you continue making neat and clean serials like Viruddh in the future too so that your fans abroad have something nice to watch. Short but interesting and logical stories are better than long and boring illogical stories.
But I will always miss Vasudha and Sushant on Sony TV. So far Sony only gave us two good serials in many years: Jassi jaisi Koi Nahi and Viruddh. 👏

smriti showed us that if one wants to make good serial they can do it with dignity and truth. she has the caliber of new concept mixing to old theory. sometimes it was over but may be because sony told her to continue for some episodes...she did the mistake. now she is again became a practical and logical story maker...so congrats.smriti i love u 👏 👏 👏
