How will the love story start?

Two strong-headed people. One is selfish, self-absorbed, no consideration for other people and go to any extent to get what he wants. The other is independent, emotionally-strong, a tough-nut and not one to back down in a situation. So who will fall for the other first?

I think that abeer will fall for khushi first. This is because we have already seen hints of abeer having interest in khushi due to his flirtatious, casanova behaviour, although even this interest is the same type of interest he shows in all girls he finds physically attractive. Even then it makes sense for abeer to fall for her first as for one it is obvious that right off the bat that he does think she is attractive, but the love i think will develop when abeer will start to fall for khushi's attitude and seeing how she is the only person who can ever stand up to him and have the guts to show him where he is wrong when he is. I think her gutsy and confident attitude as well as her good-nature will make him eventually fall for her, unless the cv's decide to take another route and show him consistently torturing her to take revenge from her and then showing him changing slowly due to khushi.

I definitely don't think it will be khushi who falls for him, because he has no visible admiral qualities that would make a practical and strong girl like khushi develop emotions for him out of nowhere when he shows no sign of being a good person.

unfortunately, I am not liking Abhi and Kushi's pairing based on the little I have watched and read about. Sonal looks older than Zain, and I can't see her as Kushi. That isn't even the SonKush/KarVi fangirl in me speaking. I just imagined Kushi to be different... personality and look-wise... 😕 I am also disappointed in the male-lead's character... I still can't believe this is the same series that gave us characters like Kartik and Krishna... I expected more than the rich bad boy, and middle-class good girl love story... I am sorry if I am being too blunt, I really expected more. But, from what I saw I do like older Kartik and the actor who is playing him. 👍🏼

back to your question: The real question is- Will Kartik approve Abhi as a potential partner for Kushi, and if he does... when, and how will that shape out to be like? 😆 Knowing KarShi's relationship in YVR1 and the love Kartik has for his daughter... I can't imagine Kushi's potential pair getting to her before having to deal with her father 😃 Can you imagine the funny/weird tests kartik will make abhi go through to prove his worth for his daughter/BFF/second mother/dost 😆

I know I am quoting myself... but I couldn't help it...😆

bold: Knowing the the YVR writers... I can't help but have some kind of hope... maybe, just maybe another male lead may be added to the equation (someone more like Kartik- maybe even Ankush 😆-it's that fangirl heart again, sorry, he is just too good... missing him so much 😳) who Kushi ends up liking... maybe Abhi may develop feelings for Kushi, but due to this new pairing... may end up being more of a villain... I don't... I just can't see this team... that brought us KarVi/SonKush would go for something as simple as the rich bad boy and Kushi- who right now seems to be the middle-class good girl... And, maybe Taayi may come back with Rhia... who may end up being Abhi's pair...😛

I know this new track is supposed to have Kushi be a singer... I just wish they would allow Sonal to sing in her own voice... SonKush both have amazing voices, but with the use of bollywood songs the actors aren't given the opportunity to showcase their musical talents... it really is disappointing... there was a scene where Survi (Sonal) sang a lullaby to Kushi... and it was really sweet... it added something the use of a bollywood song couldn't... I was hoping there would be a scene where we could have heard Kartik (Ankush-in his voice) serenade Survi or sing to Kushi... it would have been really nice... especially since he has such a nice voice. These makers need to tap in to the singing talents of their actors- it would definitely add a new dimension to the show...

Yes. The casting for the older karthik is brilliant. The actor playing karthik is a joy to watch in this role and he is hilarious and kind of adorable in this role. I saw him in meri saasu maa where he just played a silent spectator and was kind of negative, but glad to see zee tv gave him a role that allowed him to showcase his acting abilities.

nothing to take away from this new actor...

but does he take baby steps?? does he stutter or repeat his words while speaking? does he exude child-like innocence whenever he smiles or cracks up?? In a nutshell does he act like Ankush??? I guess not... My bad... sorry for this rant... neither have I watched this new YVR nor am I ever gonna watch it..

Wish the makers would have changed the name of the show even

He actually does all that...just he doesn't act like ankush, because of course he is an older actor. I think the biggest change you can see between the new karthik and the old karthik is that where ankush would pucker his lips very tout in his childish act, the newer actor doesn't do that because karthik's mental well-being has improved over the 15 years and even works now as a supervisor in a restaurant/ cafe. The fact that the actor is being appreciated for his portrayal as an older karthik shows that he is in fact a good choice for the role. Keep in mind, that the older actor is meant to be a replacement for the younger karthik rather than a replacement for ankush, as he is meant to portray the mentally-challenged karthik, but in older age.

The older karthik, although still emotionally and physically dependent like the younger one, he has grown to be mature and understanding of what is going on around him and the fact he can hold a job in which he is loved and respected by one and all shows he is able to work hard regardless of his physical and mental shortcomings, but somewhat he is still childish in his mind due to the fact he still needs survi to take care of his every needs and to manage him when he acts a little childishly stubborn, yet still manages to shows his paternal side to survi by protecting her as well as advising her to keep out of trouble or to change her attitude and outlook towards life. He also adds the kind of comical relief in the show that you would expect a open-minded, filter-free child to display, which makes the older karthik loveable.

All in all, people who have stopped watching the show post the leap haven't seen the older actor's performance as karthik and so i am sorry to say, but i don't think non-viewers of the post-leap story can justifiably criticise the actor or make comparisons between him and ankush.

As someone who has checked out the new YVR, I believe the only good thing is Kartik's character and the way the actor is portraying him. I believe I have said this before, but I think the actor has done an amazing job in studying Ankush's portrayal while also making the necessary changes due to the 15 year leap. The scenes I have watched of his was endearing to watch, along with his comedic chemistry with Rinku's sister. As of now, the only saving grace of the show, other than Zain's popularity.
The reason why I have decided not to follow YVR2 even after giving it a try was because of:

1. What they did to KarVi (will always be the top reason, along with not being able to see Sonal paired with someone other than Ankush- this is my fangirl heart speaking 😆😳)

2. The love story is directed more towards a younger audience base, being in my 20s , my appeal for the stereotypical bad boy/good girl concept is non-existent. I still think it is overdone, and after a pairing such as KarVi this new story just doesn't live up... it doesn't have the depth, maturity and innocence that KarVi did... something I found more appealing.

3. Kushi: Kushi's overall personality and look has been a huge let down... in YVR1 they gave hints towards a leap where we would see Kushi grown up, and so I had some basic expectations... but what they have currently is not even close to what I had imagined. I remembered I had even made a suggestion long back that if they did take a leap the story should be about KarShi- but the appeal isn't there- and I can only say that Kushi's overall performance may be the reason for it. I understand the trauma of losing a mother, that too the only parent she had known for the first 7 years of her life, is one of the worst, but the way the character is written to be dealing with it is just not fitting with me...😕 A lot needs to be worked on here...

4. Zain's existing popularity is great, and a boon to the YVR team... I am glad they were able to secure him as a lead... but his character is not appealing... it is the same rich, bad boy who feels he's lost out on his dad's love- who needs to have the female lead teach him a lesson, and make him understand that his dad does love him and that he has been away because of the love he has for his son...Again, I expected more from YVR- with KarVi, the depth, maturity and innocence and most of all the history and the age difference was something more appealing to me... with Kartik's character and performance standing.

5. Seeing Survi's photo hanging on the wall was just painful... although there were moments where I found Survi's character to be 1 dimensional and hard to relate to (because of the rushed tracks and her need to be a superwoman)- the depth that Survi had when it came to the love she had for Kartik was very appealing to watch, and was one of Sonal's best performances- the confusion, love,, shyness, strength Sonal showed as Survi was amazing and is greatly missed... 😭

Everyone has their own tastes. I liked Zain in KYY, he fit the role of Abhimanyu and his pairing with Mukthi I can never forget. 😳

I really loved YVR1 too. I have not watched YVR2 only because I am done with the drama as a whole. I was tired of Tai and took a break from YVR in August, and came here after finding out about the leap.
