Was Bombay Velvet such a bad movie?

I am asking this question to those who have watched this movie. I watched this movie in the theater and was quite entertained as even though the story was a let down to some extent, the songs were amazing. Songs like Fifi and Mohabbat Buri Bimari are so good but I never even hear them play in any award show. What went wrong with this film that the shows even got cancelled and the audience never wanted to give this movie a chance?

I am no fan of Ranbir Kapoor who's asking this question. 😳😆

I don't know what went wrong but I thoroughly enjoyed this movie. I watched it when it aired on TV. I was expecting a really bad movie but honestly it was very entertaining. Everybody played their parts well.

I think that the heightened egos of some people brought this movie down. Media also never gave this movie a chance.

So true. When I booked the tickets and heard about its fate, I thought I shouldn't go to watch it but to my surprise, it turned out to be better than the other movies I had watched earlier. I feel it's quite underrated.
