As promised here are the latest changes that would be incorporated in the section starting from the New Year!
All the new changes have been laid out keeping in mind four things
1) The section should be active and alive with energy😛
2) The rules of the section should not be broken
3) The section should be clean 👏
4) The new changes should not lead to difference of opinion/arguements between members 😊
Remember guys! This is ONLY a guideline - Nothing is set in stone.. there might be changes made... down the line; depending on what works and what doesnt.. the development team members named in charge of the various activities are roughly to give an idea. If one of them is busy, you can approach another dev team member too. 😃
1) CREATIVE
CREATIVE FAN-THREAD - SUPERVISED BY NISHKALA (CAN START FROM 1ST WEEK OF JAN)
THIS IS A STRICTLY NO COMMENTS STICKY THREAD
this would contain the following -
Videomixes
Fanfictions
Banners, signatures and avtaars
The first post would be a video mix post containing links to a person's videomixes. For e.g. in the videomix post, we'll have hyperlinks saying sonali's videomixes, dilbagh's videomixes etc. That will lead us to one thread called the sonali videomix thread.. and then the dilbagh videomix thread. That way the section doesnt look cluttered and none of the videomixes are lost..
Friends; if you would like your video mix thread to feature in the creative thread please arrange a thread with all your videomixes and pm nishkala the link to that thread. whenever you make new videomixes keep updating that thread only. please DO NOT open new threads for video mixes or fan fictions every time as this is making the section look very cluttered. Any continued videomix and fan fiction threads will immediately be deleted.
The second post would be a fan fiction post containing links to a person's fanfictions. same principle will be followed for the fan fiction post too
the rest of the post would contain signatures, banners and avtaars just like the current signature and avtaar thread (the picture gallery would continue to function as normal)
each person would be able to use allowance of one thread for their videomixes and one thread for their fan fictions.
2) TIME-PASS THREADS 😛 SUPERVISED BY LASHY - CAN START FROM 2nd of Jan
THESE ARE INTERACTIVE NON-STICKY THREADS (DISCUSSIONS ENCOURGAED; CHATTING PERMITTED WITHIN REASON)
None of the following threads should ideally extend beyond 100 pages... once it does it will be closed and new thread started
GAMES
ONLY 2 ACTIVE GAMES PER TIME if a new game has to be started.. one of the previous ones would have to be closed..
RT MANIA
this thread is called RT mania but since so many regular features and threads are coming up, we would like the RT fans to allow discussion of other older members here too. 😳
the thread members should not participate in swearing, making lewd comments and remarks about the actors (this includes making comments on physical traits of the actors which general members would not feel comfortable reading about) and most importantly making personal comments or discussing their personal lives in a negative light
CHAT THREAD
i know its called a chat thread but please use it to share news and ask general questions (e.g. weddings, exams, IF dazzler/rocker posts, if you are feeling down/low etc). please dont post such posts in the general section.
Now since there is a lot of allowance being given for fun and chatting here, we would like some volunteers to come forward to become a caretaker of the above threads (please ensure that you would continue to be a regular visitor to the section and the thread/s itself and show restraint if anything untoward happens)
2 gamebies (For games thread)
2 RTbies (For RT mania thread)
2 Chattibies (For chatting thread)
and a creativebie if possible too... (For creative fan thread)
these are just fancy titles we are giving for fun.. it would not lead to any change in your title or any additional rights - so please dont misunderstand.. 😳 its purely voluntary and request you not to take responsibiltities of sorting problems/fights/arguements etc yourself.. since such threads are generally very active (and may i say volatile😳)
All you would need is to
1) keep an eye and report any problems
2) ensuring the threads remain active and dont die down by coming up with more ideas
3) helping arrange things etc
4) Keep an eye if members stick to the rules of the forum..
3) DEBATES AND CONTESTS - SUPERVISED BY DEE7 REENA (CAN START FROM 1ST WEEK OF JAN)
THIS IS A INTERACTIVE/PARTICIPATION NON-CHATTING STICKY THREAD
At any one point of time we can have either a debate or contest and that will be sticky... I.e. will always have one activity going on at any one point of time!!!
Debates would ideally last for about a week and a contest for a fortnight depending on the activity levels in the debates and the length of time required for contests..
Member ideas participation would be required as that would help generate more fun (when you submit your ideas for a contest, please ensure you have thought about the rules/criteria for the contest, submission date, who would judge and what the prizes would be too)
4) FIGHTER OF THE FORTNIGHT (continues as now) - SUPERVISED BY NISHKALA 😃
5) NEWSLETTER - SUPERVISED BY PARI (HOPING TO KICK START FROM 7TH OF JANUARY)😃
THIS IS A CREATIVE INFORMATION PORTAL NON-CHATTING STICKY THREAD
so please start off by pming the right dev team members...😳
your ideas for debates/contests to reena (we've received loads of ideas already but do send your ideas for contests with the criteria and rules required for organizing) 😃
start making a thread of your videomixes and fan fictions and pm them to nishkala 👏
