I like the idea of the coat as an armor. In fact to Shaurya external appearances protect one from the world. He was very disturbed when Mehek after their drunken night together came to the studio ungroomed.

Mehek though does not have a traditional relationship with her dupatta. Many heroines are very concerned about their dupatta as the obvious representation of their honor and chastity. She did not run to retrieve it in the club and earlier in the show when Shaurya removed it in anger she did not rush to cover herself with it.

It is often Shaurya who is concerned in Mehek's image to the world. Calling her Ms. TRP or covering her with his jacket all show his constant preoccupation with how things appear.

In the first cooking contest he looks at her food for presentation but refuses to taste it. I wonder if part of Shaurya's growth is to move away from the world of display and needing that armor.

In the first instance, upon staining with tea, Shaurya refused to give it to her though she asks for it to be cleaned;

In the second instance in the KC track, he offers it but she rejects it and throws it back on him

Now, in the third instance he gives it to her and she wears it for a longer time ...and the best was he wanted it back dry-cleaned !

She was even thinking about him looking and smiling at the mirror and the coat in the reflection...

This shows the growth and trust in their relationship over the period ...what say??👍🏼

Patsy, we need a separate post for the close relation between his coat &her duppata and their strange journey.
I'm thinking abt his dialogue when he asked for it,that he won't wear something worn by others w.o getting it cleaned or something like that.Let's see how this week goes & what happens to that coat.😆

@Sim, Julie & Pats...! I must say guys...you're very intelligent people with a brilliant mind and a very sharp vision...! How cleverly and microscopically you have examined all the minuscule details of the mirror and coat scenes moments of MehRya's...and gave it another twist and signification...! How beautifully...you have cross-examined and described each and every of these scenes...and linked it with MehRya past, present and future journeys/life...! Bravo and hats off to you ladies...! 👏👍🏼

@Sims...Loved the last line of your post @ precap one...! Shaurya...run to save his Empire, and not Nehal...Lol..! Sure...the man will not welcome any bad publicity for his new restaurant...! 😆

I think, Shaurie is expanding fast by borrowing heavily and taking lots of risks, he would want to save it at any cost. And I'm paranoid about female cousins/step-sisters/sisters of the heroines around the hero😆 Trying to keep it clinical.

@bold- Julie, I think his journey is to drop his guard and still feel safe.His sharp tongue& prickly personality are his tools to cope with the likes of Mami and probably her son. May be it got to do with how Mehak & Shauriya have grown up after getting orphaned. I think, Mehak took to cooking&serving,pleasing others to make herself indispensable to her extended family and Shauriya to making money for the same reason.
And for her, to stop being sweet to be accepted.
Interesting journey ahead.

Welcome dear...! I praise someone...when he/she deserves it...but, also criticize otherwise...@ when I'm in the opposition party...! 😉
