OK I read the comments of all of you, personally I feel this kidnapping drama just an attempt to show Daksh too bad so that Shivaaye could seem to be a saint in front of him (especially after many of you started feeling that Daksh was better than Shivaaye)
Now coming to the second point about Shivaaye becoming a jerk after the ONS MU, I do not feel there is any truth in it. Shivaaye since the beginning has been such for him his family honor was more than the life of others, he supported the decision of Tej to hide the news of Ashok (Gayatri's husband's) death, he might not be cruel like Tej but he is as much practical as him, so what he did to Anika might have been wrong but not out of his character
Coming to the feelings of Shivaaye- Earlier he surely had some feelings for Anika, but those were not even near love, I just want to ask that if at all tomorrow SHivaaye feels that Rudra lot loves Omkara more than he does to Shivaaaye, and then he will need Rudra to do something which Rudra doesn't want, do you people really think he will force Rudra in this way? No he will not because he dearly loves Rudra, but that is not the case with Anika, he likes Anika and has some connect with her but there is nothing like "Love" in their relation (probably Anika has some stronger feelings but not Shivaaye)
For Shivaaye marriage was always about getting the deal, he never felt that relations could be real, he always felt that poor people only vouch for money in this situation he met Anika, for whom self respect was the most important thing, she was a pleasant surprise for him and hence he started admiring her, she helped his family which made him admire her all the more, he had some feelings for which he wanted Anika to be with him (not some love where he would have wanted to be with Anika), in such a situation Daksh came and proposed her, making hi feel insecure as Anika was going away from him and then Anika agreed. He might have been sad at it, but he didn't do anything wrong to them
Then came the ONS MU, this shattered all the admiration that Shivaaye had for her, which had made Anika different from the rest of the Middle class people who only want money and he was disappointed at it, but still even after that he didn't do anything bad to her excluding a few sarcastic comments (yes his belief was shattered and his faith was attacked, but he didn't have a right to question this girl).
He became a beast only after he felt that Anika was responsible for Richa running away from the marriage, someone doing an act which could hamper his family repute. He never showed any right on her, infact Anika did by repeatedly addressing him as "Billu ji" despite him not liking it (and she was the girl who asked Daksh to address Shivaaye as Shivaaye sir thinking that he was a plumber- I mean you don't even address him by his official name and are asking others to add a sir after his name wow this isn't double standard for you? She too was just an employee of the Oberois)
