Supporting maya is same as supporting ashwin?

I see a lot of post defending maya and objecting words like psycho if used against maya. I strongly condemn physical and mental abuse. I too sympathise with maya but only till the time she is victim and when becomes abuser . . . . No more sympathies.
Yesterday before watching the episode I had just checked in here. I saw the forum was flooded with people calling out jhanvi as worst character and sympathising with Maya. Wondering what happened I watched the episode and shocked to see maya piercing glass in jhanvi s hand. None condemned her action rather one person wrote a post edited it out so that the member doesn't sound like anti maya. A daughter piercing glass in her mother s hand is completely seems ignored .

A character should be sympathised till its a victim.

Ashwin also must be victim of child abuse . We don't know what happened in his childhood. So isn't supporting maya equal to supporting ashwin. I too love maya . . . Appreciate her when she is cute and adorable but critizize her mistakes when she is wrong rather putting everything on jhanvi .

Erm, I am not sure if this post is targeted towards me because I did edit to my post to add things I thought needed to be said. Even this isn't meant for me, I'll clear the air nonetheless.
a) We don't have an evidence as to whether or not Ashwin was a victim of abuse. If you watch him closely, he just seems plain diabolical.

b) Time and again, members here have clarified that by sympathising with what Maya has been, they do not intend to justify her actions at all. We're all just analysing where her actions stem from (read : her traumatic childhood)

c) Who are the people responsible in shaping up this Maya? Ashwin and followed by Jhanvi.

d) That bit of Maya injuring her mother was criticised and condemned by many, including me.

Honestly, Maya hasnt done much to be criticized as an abuser. I have seen a lot worse done by other heroes in other serials and they were hugely appreciated. I am not taking names but honestly we are all appreciating her character and i didnt see no one justifying an obsessive lover here. Let me give you an example- Sharukh from Darr- he loved Kiran and did a lot of stuff but everyone loved him and I guess he won awards for that role. Same here, we love maya cause she is doing a superb job and also she is not behaving like a psycho (yet!). Arjun and Saanjh have to up their game.

This post isn't targeted at anyone .Just last general opinion.Everyone is clarifying and expressing ...so I have done the same.

There were some people who objected when Maya was called psycho when she threatened saanjh with knife saying she hasn't hurt anyone just threatoned ...Maya pierced glass in jhanvi people bashing jhanvi left and right saying she desrved it ...nobody (leaving your post ) strongly condemned the wrong action taken by her.Rather everyone was busy symathising with her...The people who said we will see when she hurts anyone till now she hasn't hurt anyone phsically so don't call her psycho dint show any shock.

We don't know ashwin childhood ...what he went through... .it could be possible that he also had a bad childhood. My only intention was to express that symathise with victim but not the abuser.

Thanks for answering my post and I read your posts. They are superb ...

So playing with blood and knife and piercing glass in hand is nothing. The characters you are talking ..Everyone loved the actor for portraying such a character ...he won awards for that role.Jenny also surely win awards for this role and I think she deserves it .

Ah, my bad, then. Apologies. I get what you mean. I guess, at the end of the day it's all about us having different point of views. And thanks! :)

Cmon its a serial. We all love grey characters. Maya is not like a full on serial killer. Dont you loveee Joker from batman? OR Dexter Morgan from Dexter. Its just like that.

I dont think that it is right to compare the victim and the abuser.
Thats like saying the person who died was just as bad as the murderer
Doesnt make sense to me at all :(

If my father was an abuser and insane and my mother went behind my back to run Behind him, I would be so angry
By looking at that scene, Maya said she had broken her arm, been physically beaten by her dad and Maya's mum knows this then why is she running along to ashwin

I agree Maya should not have hurt her mum, but any daughter would be angry I would too
