You're right and that will be the progression of the story in line with the promos of the 3 brothers' storylines. Shivaay trying to win Anika, omkaras truth and Rudras marriage with Saumya. Otherwise there is no story, they have to sustain to another 100s of episodes. Let us just sit back, not put on our thinking caps and enjoy the 20 minutes every day! If it gets too much we can take solace in some beautiful FFs in the forum created by some awesome writers. I love some of the stories that's being spinned in the forum :)

Shivay needs to fall really low to the extent he can't justify himself to anyone in any way it is only then his vision will start clearing and his attitude changing.

Having watched her IPKKND and QH, I have come to the conclusion that GUL MATA is prone tochromatic aberration ( failure to focus on important issues). She will trivialize the present track and make a complete khichadi of Annika's character. In my opinion, Shivaay doesnt deserve Annika (yes I read different perspectives and takes on the current state of Shivaay; as to why he is behaving in this manner.) There was an overdose of savagery and brutality which was very repulsive. How would Annika ever forgive Shivaay for threatening to kill her brother. No matter how hard he grovels he did was not condonable or justifiable. But then this is what I feel...an average Indian telly viewer who wants to watch something other than the usual run of the mill saas - bahu melodrama.

I dont know if there any takers for Annika and Om as a pair. I read many FFs here where these two find solace in each other. I think this pairing would be beautiful.
