Manhandling is NOT Romantic!

I was a fool to think that at least this show would've been different, with the love among brothers and all.
But no.
The same old twist and shout.
Gul, Wake up! Manhandling women is not romantic! It's abuse.
Do you understand, Gul? It's abuse.
Every girl dreams of her Prince Charming, amd Television is plays a huge part in her imagination.
You have a responsibility to show a women how she much she is worth, how she's just as important as men.
But this? This just shows that my prince charming can abuse me, torture me, manhandle me, if only he loves me.
What kind of twisted love is that?
There's no coming back from it.
And with Star Plus's new campaign about women empowerment, I hope with all my heart that Anika gathers her strength and becomes a woman I'll be proud of.
Please Gul. For the sake of every woman.

P.S : This is not a personal attack on Gul. I adore her. So please, no individual hate or abuse is going to be allowed here.

Totally agree!
It seems like Gul has been manhandled like this by Gorky that's why she is taking her frustation out by doing the same with her FLs!
It's 21st century, wake up Gul!
you are making things worse. She has to Stop this nonsense or else she will lose her loyal viewers!
Disappointed!

Just want to make this clear. Not that I am fan of Gul or anything, But she didn't show manhandling romantic in anyway.

Anika wasn't enjoying it, nor was Shivaay. He was angry, she was shocked and resistant of his advances. So when and where did it become or was shown romantic?

She didn't show anything like that. Its upto the audience how they take it. Whether romantic, painful, moment of aggression, impulsion, frustration, anger, helplessness, cruel etc. etc.

I wasn't going to respond but when I saw you commented, I saw my chance.

WORD to all that you said

I just want you to add, Shivaay is too far from being any kind of Prince Charming or even a nice person, and he's never been portrayed as that. He's a grey character who enjoys success, who loves his family and can do anything to save them and their reputation.
Until and unless Anika is a part of that family, he will not treat her like it, no matter how soft he's with her. Ultimately, the wall will always go up.

Anyway, I just wanted to point out that Shivaay isn't prince charming, and anika doesn't see him as that either. Yes, he's the male lead, who will learn along the way, as will she.

There was nothing remotely romantic about the situation, and those who assume that that was the intent, I have to say, are mistaken.

YES, manhandling and abuse HAS been romanticised in many shows, not just Gul's alone, and that is a very serious issue and one that I am deeply disturbed by as well. But this was never the intent here, just plain and simple domination.

Exactly what im saying! Show makers have a responsibility to the viewers because people take what they will from the shows. And we all know how it's gonna go. Anger to love in 0.5 second. We've all seen IPKKND. I understand what you're getting at. But the shows have always been like this and it may be good for the TRP, but I'm just disappointed.

LOL... Its like saying we have never drooled over bad men on screen...? 😆

Well she calls its Bad is the new good.. I call it bad is the new sexy..😳😉😆

(Dying to see my Fawad Khan in a Negative role hayyye Dream. I would love to hate him on screen. 😳)

Does that mean i entertain abuse or manhandling? No way.. But whats wrong in appreciating the beauty of someone who is playing a negative character or is just being bad on screen but looks great doing that? 😕

Everyone just took her phrase in altogether different way. 😆

Babe I am not getting you here. You are saying that show makers shouldn't show it as romantic and GUL Didn't. She is not showing them encouraging or entertaining each others wrong advances here. Anika was being resistant and Shivaay for surely in no mood to romance.

It was the audience who loved watching it. How can show makers control how you are taking a certain scene?

And the audience you are talking about who are going to take it as romantic.. Umm did you go through the reaction of forum yesterday? Everyone is plain angry and none found it romantic to the least. I personally was laughing though out..😆

TRP ke liye manhandling nahi dikhayi jaati.. I cant do anything about your disappointment. You are entitled to feel that, but your point didn't make sense to me because it wasn't at all shown that way.. Audience is a fool take such things as romantic when it is not.. and everyone here is well educated and has a mind of their own.. If they don't want to use it then Gul or any Ekta can't do anything about it. They are merely selling fantasy shows here... Its up to us how we are taking them ..If we like it we watch it, if we don't then we don't watch it. Makers clearly get the message this way. 😃

Just to make it clear.. i am not at all supporting whatever she is showing or anything.. But for me it is very difficult to take these shows seriously when they are not meant to be in the first place. More so they are not even promoting it to be "the revolutionary" show..I find this show super hilarious, more so the character of Shivaay.. 😆
