Why are you angry at SHIVAY

Disclaimer: If you ardent Shivay hater, please refrain from reading this post. Not a bashing post.
Also I am not a great writer, just penning my thoughts and venting out my frustration. Your comments welcome.


Without a doubt, there is only one Villian in the show, which is Shivay..SSO

Yes he has his prejudice's and he does not want to give in to his feelings for Annika, because he set his goals and plays with his mind. Good or bad, he is that way. His siblings know this , Annika knew this and yet they loved and accepted him the way he was. He was always a thorough gentleman, there was not a single scene where he took advantage of Tia.
He loved his family and his brothers and ready to go in to any lengths to sacrifice for them.

Now reluctantly or so, he fell so hard for this girl, and they developed such a bond that he starts believing he knows everything about her.

When he said to Om/Annika, that he thinks ANNIKA loves him. Its true she does. However he missed the other details that he LOVES her back. Tia was the villain blindsiding him and his own mind playing Devil. So he does not believe Annika with out a Proof.

Are you angry at him for not believing Annika? Why should he, when his state of mind poisoned by Tia, completely believes that Annika is acting out of desperation.

Then Daksh shows up, and the girl he thought he knew so well accepted his proposal, and that's the first time he thought he was wrong.

Then she shows up in that guys room in the wee hours, even after him sending her back to her house.
Now he is wronged twice.

Then he sees her, reluctantly not ready to believe Daksh, accepting the money. He believed what he saw NOT what Daksh told him. Now she completely proved him wrong about his judgement.

Are you angry that he could think so lowly of her? But isn't it what he is being shown. They are not normal BF/GF to fight over infidelity or MU, or even related to each other. He has no right over her, and how he reacted was natural when he found himself helpless in that situation.

Are you angry that he hired another girl to replace Tia?
I don't support him here at all. He could have just called off the wedding but his ego and family reputation were at stake and he tried to pull off this stunt. But he did not pick Annika for this, she gave him the reason. He does not ACT, he REACTS, which is what is happening.

Are you angry because he uttered those words to Annika when he got a slap?
I am NOT. Those thoughts were killing him inside and he had to let it out, and in this emotional state of mind, they came out, yes a WRONG way, but if there is no LOVE there is no JEALOUSY and MU.
Annika's reaction is also well justified here.

Are you angry that he used Sahil as bait?
I am not, because SSO is not ruthless. It is just a harmless trick I guess. I will not pass judgments without seeing the episode . Lesson learnt.


From all the above instances, the only reason I am angry with SSO is him continuing his wedding with a random girl as a contract marriage, instead of just calling it off and letting go of his EGO.
I believe in relationship of equals, but cannot celebrate a man being crushed into the bottom of the earth, just to prove a woman more strong and uprising.

Tia and Daksh the main players in this situation but apparently they are conveniently given a pass and the horrific things that they did are now nothing compared to what he hid to Annika. But what did he do to Annika, he did not do anything to her yet, its only in the upcoming episodes that he will force her to marry him which is WRONG, but why is that you are angry at him now, which I fathom to understand.


All the bashing that SSO gets sometimes is unprecedented for any male lead to get.

Alas! Bottom line - No matter how many times I remind myself that it is just a show, it still affects. A sad SSO fan. I will still watch the show in hope that he can rise from ashes, but that seems impossible.

I'm not angry on him yet. ONS MU is very believable. Daksh presented in such a manner. Also we should remember shivaay only thinks he knows about her. But he hardly knows her life much. So such kind unshakeable will come only later when you know the person well enough. Add to that like you said by agreeing to daksh's proposal already his belief that he knew her was broken.


I will be angry if he presents tia as his real wife to the world as she might come back later as per spoilers. Also if he lied that anika did the bride swap which i assume he did not from the segments because he is also getting scoldings. Only future episodes will say.

Of course he shall rise from this !! That's the journey we're eagerly waiting for.. Dont be sad, people know Shivaay is a good guy at heart, just his prejudices get the better of him often. He's that 'learn things the hard way' kind of guy.

Truly well said! SSO is only a flawed character and not some omnipresent god and should be treated as such! The way Daksh laid out his well thought out trap, SSO was bound to fall for it! And his naam, khoon & khandaan principles further presented him with the impetus to think the worst of Annika! And right now, at a subconscious level this is what he would want to and it would assist him in repressing his feelings for her and go ahead with his own marriage. But see, even with this whole MU looming over his head, he was still grappling with his feelings for her! This is a testament to the strength and depth of his feelings for her. 😳 So I don't even know how it's even possible to hate him TBH...

As for the forced wedding and SSO using Sahil to blackmail Annika for the marriage, I will wait it out till the episodes air before passing judgment. As we have seen before in the forum, SSO is always prematurely bashed and then comes the episode and words are retracted. 😆 So its a good idea to withhold judgment. :) I don't think he's gonna kidnap SSO like it's being suggested. SSO can be stone-hearted, but he's not a goon. 😆 I think he might just use Sahil's custody case to blackmail Annika. Perhaps threaten her to handover the custody to the Bua somehow...he only needs to make one phonecall to the lawyer (who he already bought before remember).

SSO has been dumbed down a lot...and it hurts to see him like this. So I really hope that he picks up from now onwards! :)

Jisse pyaar karte hain ussi pe gussa aata haina 😳 ... I agree he beleived what he saw and in the real world thats what anyone would do but cause its serial and a lot of unrealistic things are shown they could have shown sso still not completely believing that anika could do something like that ... sleeping for money is a huge charachter assasination just like murdering someone is huge .. but when sso was accused of murdering and there was was solid proof against him anika had that much trust in him that he cannot do such a huge crime ... sso has not done anything big for anika but anika has gone to the extent of sacrificing her izzat for him .. we know he is a very thinking from brain kind of guy but after all these incidents itna haq toh banta hai humara ki we expect him to atleast struggle to believe that about anika .. that's y feeling so angry at him ... as for the forced marraige thing I am still okay with it because as an audience we know sso deep down loves anika a lot and is not the kind of person to actually harm sahil ... but still to force someone into marrying by blackmailing is plain wrong specially if u have no intention whatsoever of accepting them in your lives and giving them rights of being your partner ... the whole hate tashan wali shaadi could have been done without sso forcing anika ...after the confrontation scene with anika slapping him they could have shown everyone getting to know about tia runnig away and then dadi's health could have taken a toll and anika could have agreed for dadi's sake and sso for both dadi and family reputation ... so they would have still hated each other with all the MU's but would have compromised for family sake ... aisa karte toh sso ka itna charachter assasination nahin hota and it wouldn't feel so wrong .. anyways we have yet to see how it will finally play out so maybe ut won't be as bad as we are imagining it to be

Agreed till I could understand the consistency. Till I can't I won't think of him, or the feels he generates for me. But the day I do (and I have before), I have been told not many better explain his growth with love than I do :D SO I'm waiting till this wedding nonsense gets over

I don't think Tia will be presented as his wife, but will be interesting to see what role she will have until her exposure.So such kind unshakeable will come only later when you know the person well enough.. That is so true!! (text in bold)

He may be cold towards Annika and misunderstand her, but remember she doesn't just take things quietly. She is going to fight him tooth and nail, and they will find each other again despite differences.

it's not hate that we have for Shivaay, but for the stupid things he does without thinking. Yes, he fell in love and isnt thinking straight.

He was always marrying Tia for financial gain and his ambitions. He never loved Tia. Watch how he struggled with his feelings before leaving for the mandap . He had to shake himself and steel his spine to go ahead with the wedding, when clearly didn't feel like it.

I still think Shivaay is redeemable. But I'd like to watch the wedding properly before I worry.😆

Aww thanks for those positive words..It is just that it is comical now what has been made in to. Girls running away from him..
