@bold -- sometimes things can happen which are outside anyone's control. When this happens even if the husband does not want, he will have to give in.

This is my experience. my FIL and my SIL's family live together. The reason they give is that they are taking care of my FIL which is not really true. My husband does not like it, but because my FIL wants it that way he does not say anything.

In the beginning of this year, my SIL was diagnosed with a chronic disease and we had to act quickly to save her life. Her husband refused to pay for it. My husband did not want to pay..

I was the one who had to push my husband to bear most of the cost so that we can give her a shot at life.

Is my husband happy about it -- NO

But is he doing it -- YES.

Does she know that -- YES
Things can get complicated because of fate and all you can do is try to manage at that time...

👏Loved the poem.
Raise your son to be a gentleman and teach your daughter to accept nothing less.

Very well said!
I have one of each and I would never let my son get in the car without opening the door for me and his older sister. Girls are precious but not weak and he knows that already.

I'm not sure whether I understood your personal scenario that you referred here.. And I am not judging it as well..
The reel one I referred here to say that real men will choose what they want to or need to and stick to that decision without feeling the pressure.. or feeling like a sandwich.. They knew they had a choice and choose that suited the moment.. By force or not, the choice was his.. Not crib and repent over it for lifetime.. 😃

Very thoughtful poem. yes we need to raise our children to be true and gentle man.
This krpkab not only making us to think how to raise our children but also showing us how our husbands are so good and gentle men. I am so thankful to god to get husband like mine. true gentlemen caring, loving towards both me and his mother. I have never seen my husband was in fix for anything between me and my mil. even then I used to crib sometime why he is not like that and like this..😆.

Thank you all for liking and commenting on my post. The title is from a Cosby, Still, Nash and Young Song a favorite of mine
Kudos to the parents here who have raised strong sons and stronger daughters. For the single people out there your parents raised you well so do not fret for the way I see it from the discussions this forum has No Easwari, No Dev and certainly not a meek but a strong Sona's

You are totally right. We should all be the change you want to see in society. And it starts from our own home.
