It is no surprising that actors and actress fall in love when on work. While some amongst them forged successful on screen pairing, most fizzled out when the affair became open. There is something about chemistry when it is unspoken. Also note how in old days it was parent(s) or relatives who played spoil sport while in new age it is always the fear of commitment or spent passion(or boredom). Uncoupling has become far more easier but its impact has become tedious. Reverse of how it happened in olden days.
Some of (not so) secret affairs-
Dev anand - Suraiya - by his own account, he loved standing beneath his lady love's window while her grand ma loved throwing Garbage and Gallis at him in each equal measure. Guess who won in this love.
Raj kapoor - nargis - raj kapoor was married. So maybe his wife. Though raj and nargis did make one hell of on screen pair.
Dilip kumar - madubala- her abba was a real life villain whom Dilip could never vanquish.
Dilip Kumar -vyajantimala - ego and passion sometime walk together. These two symbolized that kind of love.
Raj kapoor - vyajantimala - hell hath no fury as women scorned. This was her rebound love and his real mid life passion. Rumor has it even pritviraaj had given up.
Rajendra Kumar - Saira Banu - young love destroyed by her actress mom (legendary beauty Naseem Banu) who wanted her daughter to grow big in Bollywood.
Vinod Mehra - moushmi chaterjee - it is no secret that she loved her fil ( legend hemant Kumar) as daughter but was not so enamoured of her hubby. Vinod was the name that was bounced too often to be coincidence.
