Let me put these topics to rest !!!!
Hot girl, Sexy girl, Pretty girl, these are all compliments.

Maal means property!!!

Our bollywood movies and bhai loag of Mumbai use this maal word in a form of slang language.

Saying sexy, hot is different than saying MAAL.

Maal word degrades the women. It means you see her as a property that a man can purchase.

MAAL is usually used in heera mandi, bars, and for call girls... it's a slang.

No reasonable mature person who has decent background profession would use this word to describe women. Only tukka, mawali, bhai loag would use it.

I'm sorry but MAAL should not be used when complimenting a girl.

I am not sure if maal means property.

From what I understand, Maal means commodity.

Let me copy paste what I wrote in another discussion.

There's nothing wrong with calling someone hot or cute or referring to their physical appearance, even to the extent that you find them desirable to have sex with.

But when you use the word 'maal', you refer to the person as a commodity, a product that can be bought or sold. And commodification is NOT okay.

This can offend many people.

We need to stop trivializing issues like this by calling it a silly language difference. It's not.

Commodity can be purchased or sold hence property. In the end both commodity and property can be bought and sold. So MAAL is wrong word to use when it comes to complimenting a girl.
