a veteran member is a moderator who is basically taking a break from moderating because they have some inevitable personal commitments like exams or lamba vacation or marriage or something like that.. if they know they are not going to be able to moderate the section for like a few months or so then they can request to become a veteran member. that way they dont have the rights to the section or anything.. but they can come back to claim the rights the minute they are free to do moderating again...

this really helps because moderators sometimes because there are many times in people's lives when they torn between feeling guilty about not doing their duties and at the same time not being able to because of personal reasons....

i had asked for VM for the months of oct-nov-dec because i knew i was going to be terribly busy... travelling because of work etc.. but it did come slightly late as the admin were busy...

hence i am a VM for all the SONY sections .... i.e. cant moderate now.. and as for PRC i have the rights but depending on how busy i am i can choose to moderate or not.. i know ill be busy once i start work in Jan too (have a brief chrismtas break now) so i think i will be here.. but continue to be backstage like how i have now..

if pari gets her internet connection in jan (hopefully) then pari and nish will be here regularly and reena in the evenings and during her lunch hour... and ill be here atleast 4-5 times a week to help in general moderating..how does that sound? 😃

if any of you have any problems or anything you can pm any one of us and well try and pass it on to the right person as we keep in touch over phone/ email and texts too.. 😃
