Why is Khushi playing hard to get? Is she trying to hide something?

PART 4

Payal came back to Raizada house and Anjali went back to Raj's house. Somnath and wife went abroad for their daughter's delivery.Khushi and Anjali had a very nice time together.Raj was very busy with AR's accounts and he found it very difficult to travel to AR office daily from his house.There was a helper in Raj's house but Anjali and Khushi did the cooking themselves.In the free time Khushi taught her embroidery work.

At Raizada house Payal found it very boring without a company in the day time.. Nani was very loving but strict and she was afraid of her.One day Aakash found her with severe fever, cold and cough.The doctor gave medicine but there was not much improvement.The cough was severe and doctor recommended tests.The tests proved that she had pneumonia.She was admitted in hospital. Aakash became so upset. Arnav arranged a helper at hospital but Nani decided to inform Anjali and Raj.Khushi was very upset with the news and she decided to be with Payal.With Anjali's permission she reached Raizada mansion.

Arnav was very happy eventhough he didn't show it at all.It was he who opened the door when she came.She stood there for some moments,looking at him and then went with Nani to the room provided to her which was very near to nani's room.

She went to hospital with Arnav and Aakash.Arnav was looking at her through the front mirror.She was aware of it but avoided him.Payal was very happy to see her. Khushi began to look after her in the daytime along with the helper and at night Aakash stayed with Payal.

Aakash was with her for the first three days and when Payal was getting better,he started to go for work again.He visited her daily in the evening and due to Payal's pressure he spent the night at home.

Khushi woke up early in the morning and helped Haripraksh in the household matters. Fresh flowers were arranged in the living room and also arranged the pooja room with expertise. Nani was so impressed and she wished Arnav to marry her.She decided to discuss the matter with Anjali.Nani also decided to do something to bring both of them together.

Arnav visited Payal on alternate days and he was admiring the way Khushi was looking after her cousin. She didn't speak to him much.She just answered his queries.She remained totally aloof.It hurt him.He was silently observing her at home and at hospital and at times tried to seek her attention but she didn't respond at all.

Arnav was wondering about his feelings. He never felt so desperate in his life.He was cursing himself.

Payal was discharged and brought home.She didn't allow Khushi to go back.Thus Khushi decided to stay back for a few more days. One day Khushi was going to the guest room to arrange fresh flowers . Arnav smiled at her but she didn't mind.He was so angry and went after her. He caught her by the shoulder .She tried to push his hands away but he was strong.He asked :Why are you avoiding me?

For the first time she answered:Why should I mind you?

Arnav:I saw you looking at me several times.

Khushi:So...?

Arnav:No one talked to me like this.

Khushi:Who are you?Are you God?

She pushed him away and left.Arnav was now shaking with rage.He called Hariprakash and shouted at him for unnecessary matters.Hariprakash was so hurt and Khushi felt very angry.She decided to talk to him.She saw him working on his laptop. She knocked on the door and waited.He looked up and stared.He rose to his feet and came forward.She was afraid of him but decided to talk.

Arnav just looked at her questioningly.

She started.

Khushi:I..I want to talk to you

He didn't respond.

Khushi:Hariprakash is sad at your outburst.

Arnav:So..why do you bother?

Khushi:I'm here for the past few days and now feel like a family.How can we insult a person who helps us day and night?

Arnav:He's my employee and I pay him good salary for the work done.

Khushi:Money is not everything Mr.Raizada.Every person has self respect and every job has its own dignity .We should know how to respect them.

Arnav: who are you to give me a lecture?You are a guest in the house and behave like one.

Khushi was shocked at the insult .She looked into his eyes for a moment ,tried to say something and suddenly turned and walked away.Nani heard everything and she liked Khushi now more.

Arnav followed her but she went to the kitchen and started helping Hariprakash. Arnav was too irritated and angry. He cursed himself for being very rude to her and wanted to apologise.He didn't take breakfast and left for office.He couldn't concentrate and returned home for lunch.Aakash asked him the reason for going home in the afternoon which was unusual. Arnav told him an excuse and reached home.Nani had lunch and was going to her room.She was surprised to see him there.She decided to bring Arnav and Khushi together.Payal was taking rest in her room. Hariprakash went to market.

Nani:Chote,come and have lunch

Arnav's eyes were searching for her.He wanted to talk to her.

Nani: Khushi...please set the table ready.

Khushi began to set the table.

Nani:Come chote..

Arnav began to have his lunch.

Nani: Let me take rest for some time .

She went to her room.Khushi was so embarrassed but remained calm.But Arnav was happy to get her alone.

Both of them didn't talk to each other.She stood a little away .

Arnav decided to break the silence.He asked:Did you have lunch?

Khushi:Yes

Arnav:Are these your preparation?

Khushi:Yes

Arnav finished his lunch,washed his hands and came back to the dining hall. She was rearranging the table.He looked around and made sure that there was no one.He sat on the chair.

He called:Khushi...

Khushi was taken aback.She asked:Yes...?

Arnav:The food was excellent and sorry for what I've said in the morning.

Arnav caught her hand.She tried to snatch it away but he held it strongly and kissed her hand.He stood up,caught her by the waist and kissed her on the cheeks.She was shocked and said No...She cried bitterly.Arnav was totally disturbed. She ran to her room.Arnav wondered at her reaction.

Arnav stood there till she disappeared from sight.He went to his room,closed the door and lied down on the bed.He shut his eyes and tried to control his emotions.He wanted to talk to her,wanted her near desperately.He thought:Why I'm feeling this way?No..I have to find a way to escape from this torture...I won't think about her..anyway she doesn't like my presence...

He called Riya and told that he would be coming to pick her in the evening.she was thrilled.Arnav went back to office determined.But his mind was disturbed.In the evening a man came to meet him.His name was Vinod.

Teaser to part 5

The hot oil fell on her legs.She sat on the floor and was trying to control the pain. Arnav took the tissue and tried to wipe out the oil.She pushed his hands away and shut her eyes and was trying to control the pain.He strongly held her hands with his left hand and with right hand he applied the ointment .Then...?She sat near the window of her room.Tears wer rolling down her cheeks.She recalled what happened in the evening.His words,his voice...her hands went to her lips.

She said to herself:It can't happen...never...

Nice update. Khushi behaves so differently with him and yet when he shouts at Hariprakash, she goes to tell him off? 😕 He smiled at her and she didn't respond.
