Thank you Deepsel as this thought struck me as I was typing in your thread and i thought this needed to be elaborated.
I am reminded of 3 scenes.
1. Sona is at the dinner with Dev and she says Mr. Dixit I love you.
Cut to next day... she thinks she said it and Dev asks aap kuch kehena chahati thi
2. Sona is stitching a button on Dev's shirt. Dev said " Apki aakhein bahut khoobsurat hain"
Cut to next day... It is all Sona's imagination.
3. The day Dev and Sona have their first coffee on the car the previous day Sona asks Aapka Sawal Pyaar ke Bare mein nahi Tha na!!
The next day, there is an entire conversation about seeing the world through your rose glasses, duniya dhuli dhuli si lagti hain... and then Sona asks this question.
Similarly, I feel this scene ( may be just may be ) Dev will go to Ishwari and explain to him why Asha is his mother too.. He will say tune jaise Sona ko mere liye apnaya hai.. waise hi unhon tere bete ko apnaya hai... I am exepcting some reference to Ishwari and her mahanta because of which Sona came into his life...
" Agar tujhe phir bhi lagta hain meine galti ki, Mein unhe ab se Maa nahi kahoonga"
And Ishwari to maintain her "Godly" image will dismiss it . But hope Dev catches on that even that disturbed his mother.
Hence the start of trying to get a little more independent. Just a hope maybe this scene just gets twisted this way.
