Reality Shows in India are based on popularity and not talent.

None of theses Relaity Shows have ever had the Best Person win - not Indian Idol, Sa Re Ga Ma, Star Voice of India, Jhalak Dhiklaja, etc.

You can tell a few weeks before the finals who is going to win, just by observing who does not get into the danger zone too often.

In the case of AS even with low scores they never were in the danger zone, even with great scores RA were in the danger zone. I knew the day Madhavi gave AS the Vardhan that they would not be eliminated that AS would win.

Even in the first Indial Idol, Shipa Shetty said Abhishek Sawant was her favourite candidate and after that episode he was never in the danger zone and eventually won.

The Indian audience votes on who they like - not the best person. Which is why our country is in such shambles look at the politicians we elect.

Despite RA being a great dancing team they would never have won, because the average indian despite what RA believes cannot accept RA as winners. Raakhi kicked her mother out of her house after she was evicted from Big Boss and she is in a live in relationship with Abhishek which everyone knows. Do she honestly think that the middle class voting population of India will vote for her because she deserves to win. NO they will vote against her simply because they don't like what she is and what she stands for.

Even the investigations will prove that RA lost and no fraud was commited not because they were not better dancers but because they are not the most popular couple.

She could have gained more respect by simply waiting for the show to get over and quietly file a case later, this media circus is going to work against her, as now no one will touch her with a 10 foot pole.

I agree with this article to an extent.
Many Indian voters do vote based on their favorite rather than the most deserving contestants. In a sense, I kind of knew Rakhi wouldn't win because of her negative public image.

Thank you ann_belle for this very rational analysis. I concur with everything you have said specially in the paragraph that I have bolded in Red. I have been saying from Big Boss that the day Rakhi learns to zip her lips and fly under the radar the general voting public will start to see her in a more favorable light. She totally bottles and corks her intuitive sense, and instead chooses bizarre and irrational melodrama as a ploy to woo votes.

I hope she never participates in any competitions till she attains some maturity. Otherwise she is going to face the same thing over and over and over again. By now she is convinced that the only reason she is chosen in the Reality TV contests is because she is a great big draw in the TRP battle. So all the more, she should make a separate deal to rake in more money than what the winner would get. If she is in fact such a great big draw the TV channels would be more than happy to give her anything reasonable. Then she would not have to worry about winning or loosing. Rakhi should believe in herself but not over inflate her ego.

She and Mika are separated at birth twins in this aspect. The only difference is that Rakhi takes the credit for everything going on in a show where she participated. While Mika takes credit for everything irrespective of his participation. The best thing that the TV channels can do is never invite either one of them to participate in anything....period!

Reality Shows in India are based on popularity and not talent....

Even in the first Indial Idol, Shipa Shetty said Abhishek Sawant was her favourite candidate and after that episode he was never in the danger zone and eventually won.

Oh yes, I totally agree to this. After Setty appreciating Abhijeet Sawant for his talent and his smiles. He was a Star over night. Since it was the 1st Voting system based reality show, I as a audience fail to realise that It was juts a appreciation from one Maharashtrian to the other.😊

Despite RA being a great dancing team they would never have won, because the average indian despite what RA believes cannot accept RA as winners. Raakhi kicked her mother out of her house after she was evicted from Big Boss and she is in a live in relationship with Abhishek which everyone knows. I don't agree to this one, because if that was the case I would never go an watch Salman Khan's Movie, for he simply killing Black Bug a rare species, Running down innocent people his fancy Car and rude behaviour and high and mighty attitude in public. (off Camera) But still I love watching his movies because he is a good actor.

Even the investigations will prove that RA lost and no fraud was commited not because they were not better dancers but because they are not the most popular couple.

True I agree to the investigating part, but again I never knew who Sanjida and Amir was, prior to Nach Baliye, so they too were No famous Tele Artist to have encashed more votes.

She could have gained more respect by simply waiting for the show to get over and quietly file a case later, this media circus is going to work against her, as now no one will touch her with a 10 foot pole.

I totally agree with you. This media drama will take her no way. She shoud have behaved in a more mature and dignified manner.
