I was looking all over the internet for mythological literature reads and where to buy them and came across this amazing organisation Gita Press, Gorakpur. Alot of the titles they carry are worth reserving if you've interest in mythological stories like books on the Puranas, Bhakta Bharat, Bhakta Prahalad, Meera Bai and so on. I have experienced sheer bliss reading the stories. I was looking for more books and would love if you guys come forward and share recommendations.
For example I've been reading Tulsidas Ji's Ramacharitamanas and it seemed less detailed than I'd like. So was planning to read Valmiki ji's text but have not been able to find it. Help me out.

And also, suggest where I could read the Hitopdesh stories.
Any other titles that you may suggest would be welcome.
This could be an index for the most popular and touching mythological stories.
Let's get started.

Edit*Also, please mention the language in which a particular text is as I only understand Hindi and English. But you may list other translations for reference purpose.

You can visit www.sacred-texts.com for the actual texts.
Whose version of RCM is this?
Do let me know what books you want :) I can find quite a few for you, and PM the links :)

Thank you so much for the reference. I'll check the site asap. I have Hanuman Prasad Poddar ji's version. The text is beautiful, but not as detailed as I desired.

Also, please could you refer the most authentic and touching versions of Mahabharata and Shrimad Bhagwad Geeta. Any other references would be welcome too.
