"Bhaiya.. I am sorry.

I lied, I love you the most"

Shivaay shivered as he read this note. Rudra!! Fresh tears made their way through his already red and swollen eyes.

Shivaay had never been this helpless in his entire life. He wanted to shout. He wanted to scream. But his voice just didn't come out. He was dying inside. Like a part of him was going away. The silent corridors of the hospital were killing him.

"He'll be fine " Shivaay heard a faint shivering voice.

"Use kuch nahi hoga.. I know it.. Use kuch nahi hoga" the voice continued. It was Om. His voice was breaking. But he wanted to be strong. For his brother.

"Use kuch nahi hoga naa Shivaay?" Om asked this time.

Shivaay looked at him. He caressed his hair.

"Kuch bhi nahi.. He is the strongest of us all" Shivaay said almost inaudible.

Om started weeping and hugged Shivaay.

"Hamara Bhai itna bada kab ho gya Shivaay? Kab? Ki voh humse itni badi baat chhupa gaya? " Om said still hugging Shivaay.

"Sab meri galti hai ! Sab meri galti hai.. Maine use jaane diya.. Uski baaton se itna hurt ho gaya.. Ki use rok bhi nahi paaya" Shivaay sobbed.

"Teri galti nahi thi Shivaay! Do you get it? It wasn't your fault. It was me. Kya kuch nahi kaha maine use us din." om came out of hug and cupped Shiv's face consoling.

"How could i just think that he hates me? How could I? Usne kaha aur maine maan liya " Shivaay said slowly.

"Nahi Shivaay, sab meri galti hai.. Mai use samajh hi nahi paaya" Om said.

FLASHBACK:

"Rudra! Itna bada kadam uthaya tum dono ne aur kisi ko batana bhi zaruri nahi samjha? MARRIAGE is not a joke" Shivaay screamed

"MR. SHIVAAY SINGH OBEROI ! Don't tell me what to do and what not!!!!" Rudra shouted.

Shivaay went all numb.

"Is that the way to talk to your elder brother Rudra??" Om shouted.

"Sage bhai nahi hai vo mere! " Rudra said angrily, looking into Om's eyes.

*SLAP* Om slapped Rudra.

"How dare you say that about Shivaay? How dare you? Are you even in your senses?" Om yelled.

"O.. Aap nahi jaante inhe.. Ye bohot bure hai.. He hates us" Rudra said.

"Rudra, aisa kyu bol raha hai mere bhai? Mujse koi galti ho gayi hai? Tell me! Please" Shivaay said in a breaking voice. He was not able to believe his ears.

"Please! Aap ye natak mat kariye ab... You know what? You should actually be happy now. Mai jaa raha hoon, Iss ghar ko chhod kar! Fir apko koi problem nahi hogi." rudra said indifferently.

"OUT!" Om shouted at Rudra. He could never hear a word against Shivaay, even if it was from own little brother.

"OM! Kya bol raha hai. Mai baat kar raha hoon naa" Shivaay said.

"Par ye baat karne ke layak nahi hai.. Kya kuch nahi kiya tune iske liye!! Aur aaj jab tune isse itni badi galti ke liye zara sa daant kya diya.. So he just said you are not his real brother? He just does not deserves your love. He just doesn't."

"Rudra! Calm down! I am sorry for everything" Shivaay tried again.

"Saumya.. Chalo.. Ab hum iss ghar me nahi rahege" Rudra told Saumya. Saumya was already weeping. She nodded.

"Rehne de Shivaay! Do din me akal thikane aa jaegi" Om said while leaving.

OUTSIDE OBEROI MANSION

"Please Rudra! Mat royo na! Please" Saumya said while crying herself, trying console him.

"Main sabse bura bhai hu Saumya! Sabse bura. Aur vo mere best bhaiya hai. Sabse best." Rudra said.

"Tum sabse best bhai ho Rudra! Tum bade bhaiya aur bade baal wale bhaiya ko pareshan nahi karna chahte the.. Isliye tumne itna bada jhooth bola. Rudra. Hum unko sach bata dete hai na? Please. I know you cant live without them"

"But i want them to learn to live without me Saumya." he said looking in her eyes.

"Kaise bta du unhe ke mere heart me hole hai? Aut shayad kuch time baad main iss duniya me..."

"Rudra.. No.. Tumhe kuch nahi hoga.. Tum bilkul theek ho jaoge. Bilkul theek" Saumya said wiping her tears.

"Ek baat bolu Sumo? Mere bhaiya best bhaiya hai.. But Tum meri best dost ho. Sabse best" he smiled.

"Agar mujhe kuch ho jaye to ye (handing him a small paper) tum Shivaay Bhaiya ko de dena please" he continued.

They hugged each -other and cried.

3 MONTHS LATER

*Final operation day (Spare me for the medical things.. LOL), Rudra had fainted and Saumya did not know what to do.. So she called Shivaay and Om and told him everyday. She gave that paper to Shiv. ShivKara were waiting outside the OT getting restless*

The Doctor comes out.

"How is he Doctor?" Shiv and Om run to the doctor.

"Congratulations Mr. Oberoi, The operation was successful. Rudra is fine now. Use subah tak hosh aa jaega" the doctor said.

"Thank You doctor" Shivkara said in unison. The doctor left.

Shivaay looked at Rudra through the window. He half-smiled and half-cried. Om put his hand on his shoulder. Shivaay started weeping,holding the door. Suddenly his knees were weak and he fell on the floor.

"Shivaay" Om too sat on the floor in reflex.

"Rudra is fine Om. My.. My... Baby is fine. Maine kaha.. Tha.. na.. Use kuch.. Nahi.. nahi hoga" Shiv managed to speak and hugged Om.

"Yes he is! Because he has the best brother in the world" Om hugged him back.

MORNING:

Rudra had gained conscious now. Shivaay and Om made their way towards his room. But Om stopped on the door. He did not have the courage to face Rudra, after everything he said to him that day. Tears pooled in his eyes, and he decided not to meet him. He looked at him through the glass wall.

Shivaay looked at Rudra. Rudra looked at Shivaay and lowered his gaze the next second.

Shivaay slapped him lightly.

"Bohot bada ho gaya hai na tu? Apne bhaion se baate chhupane laga hai"

"I am sorry bhaiya.. I am sorry.. Please forgive me. I swear maine jhooth bola tha.. I really really love you. Sachi. Aap best ho" Rudra said i one go.

"I know that" Shivaay smiled in his tears, lightly tapping his head and hugged him.

"Tu theek hai na bachha? I promise.. I promise ab tujhe kabhi apne aap se door nahi jaane dunga" Shivaay continued.

"Pakka promise?" Rudra smiled and Shivaay nodded.

"O nahi aaye mujse milne?" Rudra asked looking behind Shivaay.

"Abhi to mere saath hi tha" Shivaay said a little shocked.

Saumya goes to call Om and her continuous insistence, he gives up and comes inside. His gaze still lowered.

"Mujse milne bhi nahi aaye O? Abhi tak mujse naraz ho?? " Rudra asked with puppy eyes.

"I am sorry Rudra.. Maine tumhe us din kitna kuch keh diya.. Thappad bhi mara" Om said gently.

"Mai bhi maru aapko? Fir sab clear ho jaega??" Rudra asked innocently.

Shivaay smiled. Om was a little shocked but he nodded in a Yes. He came closer to Rudra and sat on the side of his bed so that Ru can slap him.

Rudra raised his hand and Om closed his eyes in reflex. Rudra slightly pinched on his cheek and then lightly kissed it.

"O , mujse thappad kha kar mujhe bura bhai banana chahte ho kya?" Rudra laughed.

"Eeew.. Rudra.. Main bhai hu tumhara.. Girlfriend nahi" Om said making a face wiping his cheek.

"Lekin tum ho hi itne cute" Shivaay said imitating Rudra,pinching Om's cheek and then kissing it.

"EEew!! Have you both lost it? For God's sake I have a girlfri.. Wait i dont even have a girlfriend now"

"Hum hai naa" ShivRu said in Unison and hugged Om. The three of them laugh and have group hug.
