Each bone in my body is aching after rehearsing for Nach Baliye 3. Par main toh jeetongi... Abhishek and I rock!" was what Rakhi Sawant had said before the finals of the reality show that the couple were taking part in.
However, she said that a little too soon, as this confident jodi lost to Sanjeeda Sheikh and Aamir Ali. And the defeat hasn't gone down well with either Rakhi or her boyfriend Abhishek, who were dancing only to win.
Says Rakhi, "This was fixed! Abhishek and I got to know about the illegal software that the winning couple used. It is called PC SMS tool kit. Apparently, the other couple had roped in 3-4 cyber cafes for the purpose. With the help of this software, they polled 200 votes per second and that got them a lead of 5 lakh votes over us. Yeh cheating hai ! And when we tried to send a vote for ourselves, our voting lines were closed. Humne unhe vote bheja, woh chala gaya... hamara nahi gaya . Our votes bounced. We also found out that the software was purchased in the name of the winning contestant's brother. Aisa nahi chalta ... Mumbai police ko Santa ban ke hamari madad karni chahiye! "
Adds Abhishek, "This is not a small offence but a big cyber crime. We've filed a report at the Oshiwara police station and have appealed for an enquiry into the matter. We want an investigation to ensure that the voting system was transparent. We were clear winners – all the polls on the internet, news reports and the junta too were in our favour. A poll said 82 per cent people thought we were the better ones. Another survey done amongst 250 people resulted in 242 voting for us. Do we need clearer proof?"
And the couple denies having filed a case against the channel on any grounds. "We haven't filed a case. We've just registered a complaint for an enquiry into the matter at the Oshiwara police station," they say. Ask them if the other participants have called them or if they were friendly with Sanjeeda and Aamir, and they say, "No, we haven't spoken to Sanjeeda and Aamir. In fact, Aamir stopped talking to us when we entered the finals. He threw a party recently where all the participants were invited except us."
Ask Rakhi why she thinks she lost and she quips, " Main kisi saas-bahu serial mein bahu nahi hoon na, isliye. Humko choose kyun kiya tha? Aamir agle saat janam tak mere partner ke jaisa dance nahin kar sakta. Salman Khan called me back on stage to accept the award and told me not to make a scene, but he won't understand – usne kabhi haar thodi na dekhi hai!"
