The Suffer Ring
Tho doston aaj mein ek kisse sunata hoon. Ek aisi prem kahaani ki tum rote reh jaoge ya haste reh jaouge.
English Trans: So friends today I'll tell you a story. A love story in which you will cry or you will laugh.
Apne aksar suna hein ki jab shaadi hota hein tho ek ya do kissam ka rings hein'
English Trans: You have heard a lot that when a marriage takes place there's 1 or 2 rings involved.
Ek engagement ring aur doosra shaadi ka ring.
English Trans: Like an engagement ring and a marriage ring'
Lekin Ranbir aur Kanya ke zindagi mein ek aur ring hein aur voh hein Suffer Ring!
English Trans: But in Ranbir and Kanya's life there is another ring and that is a Suffer Ring!
Note: As the story develops, I will get to Ranbir and Kanya's wedding but as for now they are not married and living there lives separately.
Characters:
Ranbir Nanda: 25 years old. He's a handsome, strapping, young lad straight from Bhatinda. He's a punjaban jatt searching for a Punjaban kudi. He's an M.B.B.S no, no, no not a doctor he's Made in Bhatinda Born in Singapore. But now shifted to Mumbai after a haadsa! He's very obstinate and thinks a girl if he could find one could change his life forever!
Kanya Godbole: 24 years old. She's a Gujju. She is a very pretty girl and has just finished her course. She is a very good artist and makes painting which are auctioned. She has no parents but is renting a house and lives with her aunt.
Ayaan Nanda: 26 years old. He works in Ranbir's father's company. He's the most reliable person in the business.
Varman Nanda: Ranbir's father. He is a very proud man. A way to describe him is that if a bit of coffee or a drop of rain falls on him a person will always be there to clean it. It means that he is stinking rich!
Hrithikesh Nanda: Ranbir's stepbrother. In short Hritz is what his name is in social life. Just because his father is the best businessman in India, he gets publicity but other than that he just lazes around and does nothing.
Kamini Nanda: Ranbir's step mom. She is the most terrible and awful lady on the earth she tormented Ranbir before he left the house. She goes to kitty parties and attends more to social life. Well as they say like mother like son (Hritz)!
Shanta Tai: Kanya's aunt and is very supportive towards her. Her only goal is to get Kanya married!
Background of Ranbir Nanda '
Chapter 1
So friends as I was saying about the haadsa. Well actually, Ranbir now has one motive to destroy his father's company. Why?
Well this has happened a long time back. Ranbir was quite small when his mother died. His father then remarried another woman. That woman also had a child named Hrithikesh.
Hrithikesh and Ranbir never got along well. They always fought with each other and what not. If Hrithikesh happened to hit Ranbir then Hritz would fake that Ranbir hit him and then Ranbir would be locked up in a room where his step mother would give him a beating with a whip.
Life was difficult for Ranbir even at school he was teased as he wore braces and funny old geaky glasses. He grew up full of hatred. He never talked to any girl politely.
He soon grew up to be a strong, handsome man and finally without his braces and glasses. Well okay he wore contacts but he looked even more handsome then usual. He was fed up of his life and of Hritz and his father not showing love towards him. Until one day'
Ranbir was at home reading a book. He was still looking for an employment. Suddenly a phone call arrived and Ranbir picked it up. Some one strange told him something about some pictures. Ranbir then told the man to come over.
A few minutes later the doorbell rang and the man came in. He was a dark man with long hair and beady eyes with tattoos all over his body. He then told Ranbir about the photos thinking Ranbir was Varman Nanda as he was new to this hero giri work. He told Ranbir that he wants his money otherwise he'll tell his son Ranbir Nanda the truth about him murdering his 1st wife.
Ranbir was shocked at this news. His own father murdering his mother. Ranbir waited for his father to come back home from his office. Ranbir's father used to come back at 1 in the morning partying till the night!
His father walked in through the door and was surprised to see Ranbir there. Ranbir walked towards his father having a sad expression on his face'
