TWO SIDES OF THE SAME COIN
Shyam sat on the couch, deep in thought. What was he to do? Unlike his realisation, which was gradual, thus giving him time to adapt, his younger brother Laksh's realisation happened within three days. The memories flooded into Laksh so fast, that him denying he could be a part of Lakshmana, or Lakshmana himself, was not possible. He had had it easy, compared to the mess Laksh was in. Bharat had almost completely realised, his also being more gradual, but Anuj hadn't. Anuj hadn't started his realisation. Shyam rubbed his eyes tiredly, not knowing who to worry about.
Medium height, fair skin giving her a golden appearance, lotus eyes, a circular face, full lips, and shapely features. The colour of her eyes stunned him and kept him mesmerised. Her eye colour was the same as the third eye of Mahadev. Those eyes had the ability to sear one's soul and keep them from moving if not wanted.
Shyam blinked. That had to be His future wife, His Bhudevi. He knew it was her. Even though he didn't have complete memories of the past yet, He knew. He always knew. Anything He read about, He was never surprised. Nothing surprised Him. Mahadev had told Him that that was the case with the human form of Bhudevi as well. She could predict everything, and her gut instinct was always correct. He wasn't surprised with that either. She could always read His mind, irrespective of which Yuga they were in. As Sita, Bhama, Alamelu and Andal. He was aware that Shri existed in Sita, but for Him, in this birth, He was more tuned to the Bhu part. Shridevi's ansh had taken birth in the world, as had Shripati's ansh for her. This birth was for various reasons, the foremost being Bhudevi Herself. The Radharani part was more of a confusion. While Radha Herself had both Shri and Bhu in her, this time, Bhudevi's human form had Radharani in her. It was confusing, but it is true. Radha's strength was needed in this Yuga, as was Bhudevi's. It made confusing sense. Radharani is Mahalakshmi. But for all intents and purposes, leaving out the Jeevatma-Paramatma theory, His Bhudevi's human form, or Vasudha, as He called her, was the most Radha this world can have, this Yuga can have. She would have all the feelings and the experiences of Radha, she would be Radha Herself, but is still not purna Mahalakshmi. Additionally, He was pretty sure that Vasudha herself was confused at times as to what was going on with the Radha thing.
Shyam grinned. His God form had the craziest ideas!
Dharani, or Shyama Bhabhi as Mrinalini usually insisted on calling her, had now become Jiji as well for Mrinalini. Being the Sita to Mrinalini's Urmila did stuff like that. She could hear Mrinalini's Govind laughing in her head, saying that He had warned her of Mri child'. Apparently, her Lord loved shortening names. She shook her head at the madness, and went back to reading her mail. It said,
Dear Shyama Bhabhi/Sita Jiji,
I don't know what is actually happening. I am confused, yet very clear. I know that I am Urmila, all logic and emotions point to that, my soul points to that. Yet, I am not able to accept that I am someone as pure as she was. It is extremely confusing, Jiji, and this wave needs her mother shore's help. Sita Jiji, did you feel the same way? Like it is right, but you didn't know how to believe it for it was too good to be true? You feel that you don't deserve your Lord?
Please do reply soon.
Love,
Your laadli
Dharani shook her head. Janani, Pravha and Mrinalini were her reflections. Janani had her temperament, Pravha and she thought alike, and knew exactly what was happening when, and Mrinalini spoked the way she did, asked the same questions with almost the same words as she did.
Smiling, she started typing an email to Mrinalini, telling her that had happened with her, and how to overcome it.
A tired Shyam came and sat on His couch. He might be Narayana, but at that moment, He felt like being a kid and acting all lazy. He knew He couldn't afford that, for He was hungry and had to cook. Or maybe He could order takeout. But He had had Chinese only a few days ago. He might as well make Dal Chawal.
As He was cutting vegetables for the salad He was going to make, He reflected on how He didn't know much Tamil. He was the most North Indian Southie there is. He blamed the fact that He lived in Mumbai for the first six years of His life, after which His family had moved to Bangalore. And His gut told Him that His Bhu was as Southie as Southie gets.
He couldn't wait to meet her.
"Vasudeva Sutham Devam,
Kamsa Chanura Mardhanam,
Devaki Paramanandham,
Krishnam Vande Jagatgurum"
He is All. He is the Guru as well. From Him would she learn. Her love for learning, she hoped, would be at least a small infinitesimal part equal to the knowledge He possessed. For when one is curious and open to learning anything and everything, that one always learns. That is how she herself knew so much about the human emotions behind the epics and stories one reads. Other than the fact that she was the Earth, making her the very base of human emotions, as well as the very base of knowledge. However, due to the fact that she was human, she had to understand the art of learning. To understand the art of learning, one had to understand God. Ever since she had given herself completely to her Krishna, she seemed to know the answer to anything and everything. She herself was surprised by it. But she knew that it had to be her Lord's games. Anytime one truly wants to learn, they will learn.
She however felt that one of her greatest learnings came from realising who Lord Rama and Lord Krishna are.
Smiling to herself, she started typing,
Lord Rama and Lord Krishna. When I was asked to describe both, I didn't know what to write. I was confused and clueless. Yet, for my friend, I wanted to write.
Raghunandan and Yadunandan are both avatars of Lord Narayana. They both are perfect, both ideal, both loved and worshipped. One might say that Lord Rama is an Ekapatni vrat, and Lord Krishna isn't, but for me, Lord Krishna is. For each of His Bharya were Mahalakshmi. Through a Divine lens, Lord Krishna is also an Ekapatni vrat. One might say that He had sixteen thousand junior wives. I will say that He married them to protect their honour.
My perception of both of them, once upon a time, was different. But at that time, I hadn't realised the Leela of the Lord. Now, I can see. Lord Rama and Lord Krishna are the same; they are two sides of the same coin, Lord Narayana. They both did the same thing. It seems different though. Lord Rama was perfect, Lord Krishna was perfection, I read. I don't agree. Both are perfect, and both are perfection. Both bend the rules of the society, both break Maya, and both teach lessons of a lifetime. The only thing is that when Lord Rama does it, it seems ideal. But when Lord Krishna does it, it seems more miraculous and exasperating at the same time. For the only difference between the two Avatars is that Lord Rama didn't know He was Narayana, Lord Krishna knew He was Lord Narayana.
Dharani sighed as she stopped writing. This was not the end of this article, but for now, she really needed to unjumble her mess of thoughts. She had to do that before she continued.
