That's the problem. For majority of new mythos, TRPs and action sequences matter more than accuracy in portrayal. Even showing archers as archers is a boring ask 🥱

For CVs, it does not really matter if SMR (as he was known then) turned into a champion street fighter overnight 🤢

It depends on the state we live in. The states that have a large Indian community celebrate Diwali just like they do in India, lighting diyas and using firecrackers, and gathering around at the local temple.

In the US, we need to get permission from the government of that state before using firecrackers, since it's a safety hazard. Generally, large temple organizations get the permission, so everyone who wants to use firecrackers gathers there, since they don't have permission to use them at home.

Then there are some states that have a very small or nonexistent Indian community, and they don't do much celebrations there.

I live in a state that has a large Indian community, so Diwalis are pretty fun.
