AN APPEAL
Satyabhama danced around her room, setting everything to perfection, for her husband would be coming to her any time soon. He would have finished all His duties in the Raj darbaar, and will come to her. She knew that He will split into eight and go to the other seven as well, but Satyabhama didn't mind. She knew many people would be jealous, but she wasn't. Her husband's heart was large, and His soul was deep. He had space in His heart for the entire Universe. When He had that, would He forget His Bharya? She knew that each of them were a part of Him. He was in them, and they were in Him. He was Narayana, they were all Lakshmi. Satyabhama knew that she was Bhudevi, that Rukmini was Shridevi, and each of the other six Bharya was a different form of Mahalakshmi. Essentially, all eight of them are forms of Mahalakshmi, each bringing out the qualities necessary at that time. All eight of them were Sita, Sita was them. All eight of them were Radha, Radha was them. They were so interwined, that differentiating between them was hard. The only thing was their physical appearance was different. Even then, she and Rukmini were both golden like in appearance, and at a distance, looked the same. The only difference was Rukmini wore quite a lot of pink and silver, and was slender, while she herself wore a lot of yellow and blue, and was more curvy.
She looked around, and her husband still hadn't come. Where was He? He usually... Ah! He was in a playful mood. So, He was waiting for her to call out to Him and plead with Him to come.
Satyabhama stepped out of her palace, still decked in her royal clothes and jewellery, and looked around her garden.
"Arya, where are you?", called out Satyabhama, stepping into the gardens, searching. She looked through bushes, looked behind trees, but nowhere could she find Him. She knew that if she used her Divya Drishti, she could, but she didn't want to. She knew He was around, and was playing games on her.
Suddenly, she saw the plants sway. Every single inch of them was filled with her Arya. The Sky had Him, the Earth had Him, the plants and animals had Him. She had Him, the other Bharya had Him, Dau had Him. The Universe had Him and He had the Universe.
She sat on the ground, heaving a dramatic sigh. Tucking her legs under her, she sat on the grass, and closed her eyes.
"Arya! Where are you, Pranesh? You can never forget anyone. Have you forgotten your wife Bhama? Where are you, oh Manmohana? Don't you hear the pleas of my heart? Giridhar! Come before me, and cool the fire that is burning in me!", said Satyabhama.
Saying thus, she closed her eyes, and started singing songs on her Lord in a melodious voice. So lost was she in her devotion, she didn't realise that her Lord was standing right opposite her, a loving smile on His face. When His flute joined her voice, she opened her eyes, and blinked at Him.
"Why did you stop, love?", asked Lord Krishna.
"I was lost in you and your flute Lord", said Satyabhama.
"Why does my flute distract you so much?", asked Lord Krishna.
"In that flute is the music of the world, and it is within that music do we all live", said Satyabhama, getting up slowly.
"Is that so?", asked Govinda, smile-smirking at Satyabhama.
Satyabhama's eyes met Krishna's. her eyes widened, understanding the meaning in His eyes, and she shook her head.
"Why?", asked Lord Krishna.
"Cause", said Satyabhama, laughing and running to her chambers. Krishna laughed and followed her, entering her palace, and shutting the doors.
The next day afternoon...
Satyabhama laughed, and continued wearing her jewellery. Somehow, her husband, who had come to her that afternoon, had undone all her jewellery, and she had a meeting with Mata Devaki in a short while. She couldn't go to Mata Devaki in disarray.
"Love, your meeting got cancelled", said the Lord, smirking.
"What?", asked Satyabhama. "Why?"
"I got it cancelled", said Lord Krishna.
"Why Lord?", asked Satyabhama, turning to look at her husband, one ear bare without her earring.
"I wanted to spend time with you", said Lord Krishna.
"Swami!" said Satyabhama, blushing.
"okay okay", said the Lord, turning serious. "Today is a very important day Bhama,. We have to be together today"
"As you say Lord", said Satyabhama, going to call her attendant to go inform the other Bharya.
"Bhama!"
"Swami?"
"Here", said Krishna, taking her other earring and putting it on her ear. Their eyes met, and love and electricity sparked, their passion crackling in the air.
"Jai Shri Krishna!"
"Narayana! Narayana!"
"Jai Devi Satyabhama!"
Satyabhama and Madhava turned to look at all the Devas and the Dev Rishi Narada.
"Pranaam Prabhu! Pranaam Mata!", said the Devas and the Devrishi.
Satyabhama and Krishna, smiled at each other, and in sync, lifted their hands up, blessing the Devas and Devrishi.
"What is the matter, Dev Indra? You look worried and harassed", said Lord Krishna.
"Prabhu, the atrocities of the Demon King Narakasura, grow worse by the day. He kidnapped sixteen thousand one hundred women, and has kept them captive", said the Lord of the Devas. "And he has.."
"Has what Indradev?", asked Satrajiti, her anger at Narakasura rising.
"Humiliated my mother", said Indradev, a quiet anger about him.
"He insulted Mata Aditi?", asked an angered Satyabhama.
The Devas stared at Satyabhama in awe. In that one second, they could see AdiShakti in Satyabhama.
"He did Mata", said Devrishi Narada, seeing how tongue-tied Indradev was. "He took Ma Aditi's divine earrings, and also took Varuna Deva's umbrella. Additionally, he kidnapped sixteen thousand one hundred women"
"Narakasura's end approaches", said Lord Krishna. "I will declare war against him. I will be taking Satyabhama with me. It has to be her, ultimately, who destroys him. We will restore Mata Aditi's earrings and Varuna Dev's umbrella, rest assured Dev Indra"
"Jai Shri Krishna! Jai Ma Dharti!"
Saying thus, all the Devas and Rishis disappeared.
Krishna turned and looked at Satyabhama. Both smiled at one another grimly.
The time to punish their son had come!
