NIGHT AROUND 11
Later at night everyone gather at my place and I called cabir because as per plan cabir was with manik at his place .
You know why manik is not getting any hint with our this behaviour ..because he don't remember his birthday .
"Cabir has he slept " I asked cabir
"Yes ..you guys can come " he replied
"Okay biee" I said and hang up
We all reached manik's house around 11:30 . As we reached navya called cabir and ask him to open the door and let us in which he do a moment later.
Cabir help us to take some decoration stuff in the living area .. As we reach living area we took out the cake and placed on the table and did some decoration in the surroundings.
We switch of the light ones we lit the candles..and asked dhruv to check the time ..he told that the time is 11:50 . So abhi asked me to call him . Huh how can I call him at this hour.
"Abhi how can I call him at this hour " I said abhi.
"Aree nandu its okay ..you were the one who planned everything so you should call " aliya said
"Okay " I took out my phone and dialed his number and he picks after 2 rings
"Nandani are you okay you called at this hour " manik asked
" amm yeah I am okay it just that I was not feeling sleepy so just called you ..i am sorry I disturbed you ."
"Aree no Its okay ..you can call anytime " manik said and I asked cabir to call manik from his room .
I was talking to manik when cabir went upstairs ..i can hear everything on the phone .
"Manik manik " cabir said like he is shocked (acting ) stupid he.
" what cabir" manik said annoyingly
" manik come with me there is something downstairs "
" cabir why are you getting scared you are not a kid " manik said
" areee manik baba by seing your giant figure he will run before we reach to him " cabir said and I laughed like anything ..
Everyone downstairs watched me like I am an idiot ..but if they knew the reason .
" haslo haslo "manik said from the other side . Abhi indicated throught hands that its 11:57 ... so I also asked him to go with cabir .
"Manik if he wants go with him you should go with him we will talk later "
" fine chal " with this he hang up
I can hear the footsteps towards us I checked the time its 11:59 .
Dhruv and aliya flips on the lights and we all yell together " HAPPY BIRTHDAY MANIK"
He was utterly shocked for a second and then then mouthed an ohh
" its my birthday " he asked us ..we expected that reaction .
" yess manik now come and cut the cake" I asked him and he came forward took the knife from me and smiled at me
He cut the cake and we all sang happy birthday to him . When he was done he fed the first bite to me and I saw everyone they were all smiling at us ..so I fed him back and smiled. Then he fed all of them respectively . With that the cake war started .

LATER AT NIGHT AROUND 12:30
We were all sitting in maniks room ..all the boys exept abhi were lying on manik's bed lazily . Navya and mukti were lying on the matress . Aliya and I was sitting on the couch and abhi was sitting on the chair with .
We all were talking on random things . But then abhi got a call and he excused himself . After like 15 min later he came and asked me to come a side .
"What happen abhi " I asked him
"Nandu I have to go" he told me
"Go but where ?"
"Police station ..the inspector who was taking care of your case called that your bag which got lost by them ..they got it back and they asked me to take it back "
"But in the midnight "
"Ik but they said its important to take your bag ...idk why but they said there are many important things that you will need so I will go bring the bag "
"Okay" with that he patted my head and went.
As I entered the room again everyone asked me about abhi and I replied that he has some work he will back soon . And than I sat alone I was confuse with that bag thing ..my thoughts came to an end by a voice.
"Lets dance guyz " yelled dhruv andplays music on the stereo and dim the light which jolts everyone wakeup
We all were dancing like anything on manik's bed ..yess we were all dancing on manik's bed.
I was dancing when I felt hands on my waist .. I can feel the touch its manik. Then he twirls around so that my back faces his front abd wraps his arms around my stomach. Then he leans down and whisper in my ear "thankyou for the wonderful surprise " and in response I smiled at him and he smiled back.
He leans further down and kisses the base of my neck . Now its getting little awkward I mean ik I like him but its getting too fast . But how can I stop him it his birthday ..i don't want to ruin his day . He kisses my cheek and I can sense him moving toward my lips . Our lips were inches apart ..but then we hear the sound of opening the door knock ..and we moved apart .
"Hey guyz I am back " abhi said who came back
" hey bro come lets dance " cabir asked abhi to join him . So abhi keeping the bag which I think its mine on the table.
I tried to open my bag but everytime someone grab me for the dance .
After sometime when everyone was tired we all took a break ..than everyone started to have drinks.
So then I got a chance to open my bag ..it was a black colour bag . Once I opened it I found a wallet having some money ..id cards ..credit cards ..chocolates..and many more things . But one thing which grab my attention was a diary .
I open it up . It seems to be my personal journal . The first page says PROPERTY OF NANDINI MURTY. I turned the page in curiosity . I browse throught the diary last page to first .
I shivered with delight and anxiety . This is my window to my past. I was so excited and I didn't told anybody .
It has some 4 5 pages filled . I started reading the pages which takes only 10 mins.. I read them again . And again . My brain just cant absorb all that information.
I look up and towards my friends . Although I am not sure friends is the world that describes what they are to me anymore .
I walked to the stereo and switch off the music and everyone was seing me like I am an alien.
"What happen nandu why you switch off the music " navya asked me
"Why you all lied to me " I said making everyone confuse.
"What we all lied to you babydoll"cabir said
"Don't call me babydoll cabir " I said sternly making everyone shock
"What are you saying nandani " manik said .
" what I am saying ? Really as if you don't know you guys hide the biggest truth of my life. You lied to me from the very first day I met you ...OHH SORRY the very first DAY I MET YOU AFTER THE ACCIDENT .
All stand up by the new information they got ..shocked confusion scared all emotions were there on their face ..
"Nandani I can explain " manik tried to walk towards me .
" DON'T YOU DARE COME NEAR ME " I thunder.
"Its not what you think " navya said while crying
" you don't need to .. I know okay ? "I yell
"Nandani please jaan..." manik started
" stop where you are Mr Manik Malhotra ..you lost all that right the day you cheated on me "
Yess the manik malhotra was my boyfriend and he cheated on me with a girl named soha .
I saw him eyes filled with water..face full of sadness ..maybe guilt. Seeing his condition I just wanna stop cause I know its hurting him ..i and hate myself for this but I need some answers. They owe me some answers don't they?
" how fortunate that I lost my memory wasn't it ? Then we didn't have to deal with all of " I pointed towards me and manik.
"No " whisper mukti
"And you have to appreciate the timing . Bang on "
"No nandani its not like what you think let me explain please I beg you" manik pleaded again and I cant take tears in his eyes anymore so I nobbed him to continue

FLASHBACK
( in manik pov )
"I love nandani and I wont leave her " I yell
That bitch soha asked me to leave nandani for her ..
"Why manik I can give you much better things than her " she said trying to seduce me .
"Shut the f**k up soha and get lost from my house " I said jerking her hand .
"Manik if you will not say yess to me then it wont be good for nandani" she said making me confuse
" what do you mean" I asked her.
"What I mean is that nandani is under the eyes of my goons..one wrong step of yours ..and nandani is gone " she said with an evil smile on her face .
"You cant do this" I said angrily
"I can do anything manik now tell me your decision " she yelled
"Okay"I whisper
"Say it clearly manik" she said smirking a little while watching towards the door.
"I said I will leave nandani for you " I said but regret from the moment it came to my mouth . I said angrily and soha smiled
" oops nandani you here I didn't see you ...you must be very hurt na hearing manik words I am really sorry for that " soha said making an innocent face and I was shocked. I turned towards the door with a jerk and the scene infront of me killed me thousand death. My nandani my jaan was crying because of me I tried to move towards her but stopped by her voice
" stop " she said and ran from there.
I ran behind her ..soha was calling me from the back but I didn't care ..i still ran behind nandani .
But I was too late ...nandani in her car went away . But I didn't knew that I am gonna see her for the last time.
Next day her parent called to say that she met with an accident and is no more ..i was numb I didn't knew how to react . I was living like a dummy ..how can I when my soul ..my heart was not with me ..i love you nandani ..and I always will no matter what .
END OF FLASHBACK

I was so shocked ..i was so numb to react ..how can someone be so cruel? I glance toward manik he was lost in his thought ..there were still tears in his eyes . I felt like run to his arms ..console him ..heal him ..but I cant .
"But why my parents lied to you about me being dead " I asked them
Abhi replied " because you get concious before you slip into coma and doctors exclaimed that you lost your memory and because our parent tried to tell you your past about them ..about your friends ..manik you got unconcious and sliped into coma"
"So they lied to your friends and shift to mumbai from london because they didn't want you to get any hurt " completed dhruv
"But why didn't you guyz told me the truth when we joined the college..didnt I mean anything to you? " I asked them trying not to cry. Everyone nobbed in no and than abhi replied.
"telling the truth when we joined the college I asked them not to " abhi said
" but why ..the things would have been different then " I asked him
" we know but we cant take risk " said manik immediately . I tried to understant what is in his eyes . Guilt? But he is not at fault . He quickly changed his gaze towards the floor.
I don't know how to react ..i am not able to breath ..i want to go out .
"I want to go back home abhi ..i need some time" I said looking at manik who was not saying any word .
"But nandani " abhi tried to explain
"Abhi please " I said now looking at him now.
"Its okay abhi take her she needs time" cabir said nodding at abhi
" okay " said abhi
The drive to the home was all quite neither abhi said anything nor did I .
Abhi walked with me till my room .
"I need to talk can I come in " he asked me and I nobbed
"Nandani just let it out " abhi said and this was for me I crashed on his chest and started to cry ..wetting his shirt. He didn't stopped ne maybe he knew I need it .
After sometime when I was no longer crying abhi started " look nandani I know that you are hurt ..but they have died million deaths when they all lied to you..I know it ..i have seen them crying thinking about you . Give them a second chance ..everyone deserves a second chance . " he said and I nobbed and he smiled at me .
He is right ..nobody is at fault ..it was all meant to happen ..we cant change the past but we can change the future .
"Now sleep " he maid me lie down on bed put conforter on me ..switch off the light and went away . I know what to do next ...I closed my and went to sleep .

NEXT MORNING
I went to manik house and saw everyone sitting at the living room ..they all turned and saw me . They were all surprised maybe they didn't expected me .
My eyes shifted he was looking so pale ..i felt guilty hurting him
"Nandani " navya started but I stoped her.
"I am really sorry I made a big scene tomorrow ..i know you guyz are not at fault . And I am no longer mad at you guyz
Please forgive me " everyone was too shocked.
I walked towards manik and held his hands. He was all the time watching me .
" manik I am really sorry ..ik you are not at fault .. I ..okay leave it . Manik let forget about the past and make some new memory . We can change the future right ? " he nobbed ..smiled finally and took me in a bone crasshing hug and I hugged him back and now I am at peace .
Everyone joined us ..and now it was a group hug ...we all started laughing and did lot of masti
Full day I was at manik place ..we all were playing with each other ..teasing each other and what not .
After sometime when me and manik were in his room he out of nowhere said
" I love you nandani no matter what ..and you don't have to say anything take your time " he said I smiled and hugged him tightly like never before
