Budget: 85 Cr

Recover Cost: 105 Cr

Hit: 115 Cr

Super Hit: 155 Cr

Note: Producers are yet to provide their official figures. But as per estimates, the film has been made on a budget of 85 crores including production cost and P&A. A lot of amount has been spent on marketing and also on production rather than actors'fee.

They have already recovered 55Cr. by selling off music rights and some other miscellaneous.

They recover at 105 cr, but declared a hit at 115 cr?

Same website said Shivaay recovers budget at 135 cr, but will be declared a hit at 140 cr?

So ADHM needs to make 10 crore after already recovering its budget to be a hit, but Shivaay needs only 5 crore more? What's the logic?

Kuch bhi. TV wale ab utney paise nahin dete jitne 2013 tak diye karte the. Roy with superhit music got 30cr from satellite rights. And T-Series was more than happy getting that sum.. they thanked Bira for getting 30cr. Aur music right.. Khans' movies get 10-12 cr, other A listers' movies get 6-8cr, rest get 4cr.

Fox Star's movies go to their own channel Star, toh Fox Star just phenk raha hai. Khud ke movie hai zyaada bhav lagane se kaun rokega?

Btw, ek movie ka hit honey ka simple formula = Movie ko domestic market mein budget se 2X business karna padega. Toh... agar yeh movie India mein 170cr kar le toh hit/superhit.

Lekin recovery cost hisaab karna hai.. toh phir yeh raha ---> Satellite Right + 1/2 x 70% of Overseas Business + 1/2 x Domestic Business

Some time back, Lakhan explained that the verdict depends on the price paid by distributors. Shivaay was sold to distributors for 70 cr, so double of that is needed for a hit. I think that's the basis for the figure, but not sure.
