"His hatred for her was so intense that it should extinguish the very love from which it was conceived. And thus, he ceased to feel. There was nothing further in which to believe that made the prospect of feeling worthwhile. Daily he woke up and cast downtrodden eyes upon their room and he would say to himself with a hint of regret at his hitherto lack of indifference, 'All a dim illusion, was it? Surely it was foolish of me to think any of this had meaning.' He would then spend hours staring at the sky, wondering how best to pass the time if everything"even the sky itself" were for naught. He arrived at the conclusion that there was no best way to pass the time. The only way to deal with the illusion of time was to endure it, knowing full well, all the while, that one was truly enduring nothing at all"

Ashim Shanker, Only the Deplorable

Had she lost her mind completely? Who wanders around the middle of the road. He stopped the car at the last moment. He shuddered to think what would have happened if some other car had been passing through the road. This girl was the only one capable of invoking intense emotions in him. Sanskar was confused how could he feel anger and concern for her at the same time but then he was also experiencing both love and hate for her. Did she have no regard for her own safety or what would happen to him if she died? She could leave him all if she wanted to but he knew he wouldn't be able to survive in a world where she didn't exist. Who was he joking this was Swara Sanskar Maheswari who rarely cared about her own self. He was thinking to give her a piece of his mind but than again she started blaming him for everything. In Swara's dictionary Sanskar would always be at fault he couldn't fathom how she could forgive her murderous and scheming sister but not him. Why was it that he was always at fault in her eyes? She was right though both of them were equally stubborn had they not been they might never have married each other. She said she pitied him he thought the entire idea of that was laughable. She was the one who had inflicted some of the most grievous wounds on his soul and now she was trying to soothe them. Why was she hurting him in the first place was their love that weak? Maybe it was that's why she always chose family over him. He had both verbally and silently pleaded with her to stay with him that day but she wasn't listening. There was a time she used to understand his silence where was that Swara. She accused him of breaking promises he accused her of breaking relations. Lately every conversation between them had turned into the argument. However, when he taunted her for breaking their bond that was the time when her mask of indifference slipped. Her eyes were glistening with tears and just like always his eyes depicted the same pain it's like they were berating each other for giving themselves so much pain. Sanskar knew if he looked at her any longer he wouldn't be able to control himself so he walked away. However, he had to make sure she was okay. Swara had a knack for getting into trouble.

"Nakul monitor my wife whenever she steps out of the house. Make sure no harm befalls her. If she even gets a mere scratch under your supervision than you know what I am capable of. Try to remain discreet" He called his most trusted agent

He couldn't have his Swara colliding with cars no matter how much he tried not to care his heart would always overcome his mind in the end. The truth was he still loved her too much.
