Vividha is probably the only girl I know (reel or real) who performed the widow rituals for herself even before the marriage ones.

Now I'm not particularly religious and will frankly admit that I never really understood the purpose of this.

(I thought it was intended for dramatic effect😆)

But today I understood the point Vividha was trying to make. In that moment, Vivi segragated herself into two halves: her body (the zinda laash) that would participate in all activities henceforth (no wonder she's been so zombie-like thereafter) and the other half that was her secret heart. Her real self. Her very soul.

No wonder she seemed so surprised to be happy on her birthday. Turns out even zombies can smile. 😛

Anyway, today was the best, most clear representation of this line that Vivi had drawn and was living up to in her own way, whether anyone else understood it or not.

When Uma tells her about KC, she isn't even flustered. The V fam likely want the gesture, sure she's on it. But the intent, the devotion with which the gesture is performed, now that is still hers. A personal choice she will fiercely protect. And something she refuses to surrender. Regardless of her circumstances, that inner self is not to be compromised.

Such relief to see this Vividha. Welcome back, hun! You were missed. 😛

God it was such a relief to hear her be so upfront about this. THIS IS WHY SHE STOOD OUT right? She was the one who said that she doesn't need the marriage stamp to go all the way physically with Atharv. Things like that make her stand out because her ideals aren't regressive.

That one dialogue really brought her back to life again! MY VIVIDHA!!

Yes, she is BACK!

When she stands up for her choice to fast tomorrow to Suman, I won't even mind bearing all the Ra--Vidha preps that they might show, becuase it means Vividha finally chose for herself and did what her heart wants/believes in.

Today vivi clearly told uma that she will kept this vrat for atharav only. And the way she said on the breakfast table that she kept karwachauth fast inspite after knowing that no one keeps this vrat in this house but she stills want I admire for this. Our old vividha is back who wants to live her life in her own ways.😊

Vividha has been clear from the start. She came into the house as a walking dead, but her soul and heart were still alive for Atharv.

And today, she didn't even flinch, did she? She told her mum calmly and clearly that she will fast, but only for Atharv.

Vividha made me proud today!

This was the girl I was missing. The one who didn't care what the society said or went by the rules.

Feels so so good to see traces of my old Vividha come back today, she listened to her heart and is keeping this vrat because SHE wants to keep it for Atharv.

Loved the two-halves part you said.

That was such a beautiful explanation of the vidhwa ritual done by Vv.Never thought of it in this way.

So she is performing the duties of both the halves. The first one makes her a dutiful daughter in law and the second one makes her forever devoted to ger soulmate. She dont need to explain anyone why does she not love ravish. He was alwsys the part of the deal and she will always execute the deal. But she can love her soulmate in her mind and heart.

A woman can be firced to marry but cant be forced to love. Didnt Pratik give us that punchline after vitharv's separation.
