Well, Rishab and Raina worked together and got Rakhi married to Varun.

Unfortunately, the BR got to both Varun and Rakhi and killed them.

Raina, Rishab and everyone tried to save them but to no avail.

Mohini is now distraught and blames Rishab for Rakhi's death and asked him to leave.

so in all the whole purpose of killing rakhi was to get rishabh and raina closer
