Dearly wanted to make a post yesterday, but could not. So I am going club nuggets from today's episode as well as bits of yesterday's epi to drive my point home.
P.S. Also, will someone tell me how it is possible to just "kidnap" two grown adults like Adi and Aalia? Adi, it's still possible...poor chap, he is quite naive. But Aalia? Use kisne kidnap karne ki himmat ki yaar? (On the assumption that they both have been kidnapped😆)
Am I pissed with Subbu's mom and want to strangle her? ABSOLUTELY!
But are any of her words based on FACTS? 100%
Would Paati have done better to trust IshRa relationship and accept their "marriage" at face value after all Vandu's MIL said? No, she would not have and isn't obliged to.
But did that old hag have the right to be so OUTRAGED by it all? That conservative, sanskaari Mani "was living with" Ishita the past 7 years? No. She should have been outraged that she is getting to know of it NOW, that she is asking all these questions that matter NOW, and she is spreading her pearls of wisdom couched in complete ignorance and holier-than-thou attitude NOW.
It is clearly a bad,bad move by the CVs. I mean, how the hell is it possible that Paati (who apparently can fly down to Delhi to meet complete strangers and fix a marriage on the basis of merely ONE call) was in the dark about her grandchild's mama's "activities". Which means she doesn't know a thing about Mani's accident either (it's a diff issue Mani started walking on all four legs once he landed in Delhi, but still)
what kind of family IS THIS? these are the un-intended consequences of introducing a new character aiween, without any background...the audience is never pleased and forever pissed😡
Now, coming to IshRa's marriage being questioned. It is about time now. All the dialogues Bala's mom mouthed are clearly taken from the countless reviews/discussions passing around in the forum here. But the point is - SHE HAS A POINT.
Raman and Ishita were at loggerheads at the start of the leap...then came the fiasco where Sharam marriage ALMOST happened...then came the point where IshRa "united" at the airport because of course, Nidhi got caught and Ruhi/Ruhaan was found. Then some nokjhok happened, lots of nonsense happened and because viewers were catching in on the new drama, the CVs had us soak in the supposed sanctity and beauty of IshRa "marriage". Pray, WHERE WAS THE MARRIAGE?? Legally, they were as good as divorced, with Raman even preparing for a remarriage with his ex-wife.
Shagun is Raman's ex-wife and YET, the Bhallas thought it so cool to have her stuck in Bhalla House, because oh, she is the surrogate mother and needs to be around to take care of Pihu...time and again over the past so many years Shagun would simply pop in and out of IshRa life like it was so NORMAL. I know I'm digging up buried dirt, but come on, Raman actually had the GALL to make Shagun the surrogate mother? Like, really? Even when I think of it now, I get pissed😡😡😡
Raman, whether intentionally or unintentionally, has always dragged, rather invited Shagun into his life. Does he think the consequences are going to be good? Does he think NO ONE will question them? That is so improbable!😕 I also blame Ishita for being a part of this mess. She should never have been so jolly with Shagun! There's a limit to playing Miss-Goody-Two-Shoes😕 I don't understand...Shagun had proved herself to be a human-gulping python. Then why did they all entertain her like some fluffy Pomeranian dog who would do no harm and only come close to cuddle up with them??😲😲
What if Paati gets to know of this? Of Shagun being Pihu's surrogate mother?? Forget Paati, anybody who hears this will be astounded by the interplay of these family dynamics! I wouldn't blame anybody who chooses to castigate Bhalla family, the whole lot of them.
None of the Bhallas/Iyers thought of telling Pihu the truth and so OF COURSE, she doesn't see Ishita as a human being, but only as a trespasser in her Mama-Papa's "happy marriage"🥱
I am glad the kids stood by their respective families at this juncture. I am glad Ishita-Raman support Adi in these tough times.
In fact, I was super impressed by the way Ishita gave it back to Paati when the old lady started with her chest-beating rants, "Adi leke bhaag gaya hai Aalia ko"
I actually wanted to ask her - if you were so worried, why didn't you step in to take care of Aalia when her parents died? What were you doing? So much nautanki, I can't handle😡
In fact, I want Ishita to yell some more at Paati tomorrow.
But all said and done, I DO want IshRa to rethink this whole thing, give this a long hard discussion, introspect and realize what a mockery of marriage they have made. Especially Raman, who made the biggest mistake of his life by entertaining Shagun in his life when he was most vulnerable.
BAD MOVE, RAMAN BHALLA😲 But what was worse? Getting Shagun to be the surrogate mother. Nothing can top this, and I don't think I will ever get over this
Yes, they IshRa a lengthy discussion today...but I hope they stand by the news vows they have made to each other. ONE more time this shitty leap gets introduced, I am going to be OFF this show for good.😲
I thought Shagun would be happy with all the ruckus that happened in the function yesterday; turns out she was scared Pihu would get to know the truth!

sorry, but I am unable to feel a thing for Adi-Aalia's "love story"...their dukhbhari kahaani has made no impact on me whatsoever😆😆they way they clung to each other yesterday, making the supreme "sacrifice" for their parivaars was yawn-worthy yaar! I was like, hatao yeh sab...😆😆
And today, I was mighty angry when Paati was yelling her head off at Raman and Ishita. I so kept wishing Raman would share a juicy piece of info with her, "YOUR grandchild had called my son to a hotel-room, scheming to stay the night with him there..."...the entire plan...would've loved to see Paati's face😲
Throughout the only thing I kept thinking was - WHY IS ADI EVEN INTERESTED IN MARRYING THIS BRAINLESS AALIA? WHY IS HE WILLINGLY TAKING ON SO MUCH UNNECESSARY BAGGAGE? AND ENTERTAINING THIS OLD HAG? AND THAT COLD-AS-A-DEAD-FISH MANI?
