Dev, the previous driver, is not very efficient in overcoming the obstacles created in the journey by the passenger, Eeshwari, because he is driving for too long and is a little resigned. Sona on the other hand is a new driver with fresh perspective and objective thinking. She must be able to identify the source of trouble and fix it easily. She is able to bond with other passengers of the bus, who are eager to help. Gaadi Nikal padi. But, she will be tired eventually and at one point expect the experienced driver, Dev, to step in to help. Hope he will be ready by then.

Honestly, I didn't find Sona's "lie" a big deal. I don't like lies at all and I always believe that one should never lie unless it's a life and death situation. But here Sona didn't plan to lie, but the circumstances lead to hiding things from both Dev and Eeshwari. She wanted to surprise Dev and she was uncomfortable telling anything related to their married life to Eeshwari for various reasons. It's important to make Dev taste the forbidden fruit so that he trusts Sona's love for him more and will take initiative in spending more time with her.

Great thought and extended analogy!
Dev is unable to comprehend what is wrong is because he has always lived in this vacuum.
So when Sona came as a fresh breath of air with new prespective and logic, he was drawn and finally experienced love. Now, with time, he is bound to understand whatlife truly is, and she will make him learn how to use the wings to fly.

But for that he needs to trust her fully and give her enough credibility. Physical intimacy will certainly generate strong emotions and he will give in. Because Dev's love for Sona is beyond lust and he will (hopefully) feel her love, passion and sacrifice much more than before.

Thank you buddy 😊, these are surely deeper musings. We know there are relationships with physical part only and then there are some only platonic, but a good relationship is balance of both and one should definitely result in another. While physical part is generally easy, the emotional part needs lots of work from involved parties. The emotional part evolves also, but the step to go into the physical part of relationship is best taken if the emotional part has come to a level where both parties trust each other, and respect the relationship, if the expectations from relationship is that it will go long way. So while Dev and Sona lack trust in each other's capability to uphold relationship and also probably subconsciously do not even respect it enough as they feel guilty owning upto it openly, then physical intimacy is a step taken prematurely.

Yes . The emotional part if developed on mutual trust and understanding forms the strong base for any relationship to prosper. It survives for a longer time . Without that the physical part of the relationship can never lead to ultimate stability which in fact is the result of a good balance of both.

Your thought on psychological damage is intriguing. It might be true also, if the past is exposed fully, but as things stand today, I do not think CVs are even thinking that Dev's behavior is insensitive or that there should be an incident in the past to justify such insensitivity. They are probably making him behave so to keep the drama quotient going, so rather than Dev being primary character, It is actually Ishwari, and Dev is being made to behave in a manner that would keep Ishu's insecurity in the focus and not Dev's concern as a husband. On the face of it, the concept looks good, great even, but it has been overstretched, making characters unreal and easily questionable.
@Niva1
If the part in Bold is what is happening than I have nothing more to say because this portrayal of Drama as far as I am concerned is far from reality ( in my books atleast) and this Drama quotient is beyond my comprehension and liking. And I think you have summed it up by saying about the characterization being unreal and questionable..

Thanks for taking the time to reply. I did write a post on Balance in Tia's second thread I haunt her threads..lol on balance and the poor execution on the part of Creatives.
Have a good one!
