Suman Tiwari was confused. She had to go to a party with her husband but she did not know what to wear. And she hated that. Her side of the wardrobe was open and she was deep in thought when she felt herself being pulled flush against his chest.
"Hi," he murmured in her ear. "What are you up to?"
"Hi," She leaned her head against his chest and whispered. "Deciding on what to wear for the party."
"I will solve that problem for you, wifey." He trailed his fingers along the length of her arm and turned her to face him. She smiled at him as he pecked her forehead and lips. "I missed you." She smiled hearing his confession and hugged him tight, she had missed him too. Her smile grew wider as she felt his arms around her waist.
The last few days had been busy for both of them, their workload had increased over time and they could not afford missing out on work like they did back when they had just been married and things had started getting better between them.
"And how will you do that Shravan?" She looked up at him, breaking the hug.
"Sumooo," he complained, missing the warmth her hug was providing him.
"Shravan, batao na!"
He moved her towards the bed. "There you go," he said.
There was a beautifully wrapped box on the bed which Shravan nudged her to open. A smile overtook her features as she saw a beautiful red sari. Her husband had great taste she realised every single time he gifted her something.
"Like it?"
"Love it!" She engulfed him in a tight hug. "I love you!" She whispered. Things had been really difficult for them during the initial days of their marriage. But when they started sorting out their issues, she realised how much her husband loved her and had always loved her. He pampered her like a queen yet never stopped fighting or bickering with her and that is what she loved about him, the fact that he was always her best friend whom she could be Sumo with!
He smiled and cupped her face while breaking apart yet not separating completely. "I love you too, Mrs. Malhotra." His fingers traced the contours of her face while they looked in to each other's eyes deeply and instinctively leaned in for a passionate kiss.
They broke apart but his lips did not leave her skin, he pressed soft kisses on her jawline all the way to her ear and neck. She closed her eyes, entwining their hands. She giggled as she felt his stubble against her skin. It was ticklish.
He looked at her grinning and she smiled back. "Let's get ready Shravan, otherwise we will be late." He groaned in response. He did not feel like going to party then, he had missed his wife and the time they spent together. But it was important for them to attend the party. One of his clients had thrown a success party and insisted that Shravan along with his wife must attend it since they won the case which was possible because of Shravan.
"We have to go Shravan."
"Mhm," he responded but continued placing small kisses along her face.
"Shravan..."
He looked at her and sighed, "okay, on one condition!" She raised her eyebrows asking him what. "We will go for a long drive after the party." She smiled and nodded her head.
20 Minutes Later
Shravan came out of the bathroom and saw Sumo struggling with her sari's blouse. She could not tie the dori. He walked to her stealthily and held her hands which were on the dori. "Main kardunga."
She gasped feeling his cold hands on hers. She had not heard him come as she was too busy trying to tie the dori. She looks up at him through the mirror and meets his gaze. He is mesmerised seeing her as she looks gorgeous. A smirk comes on his face and a naughty glint in his eyes is noticed by her and she wonders what he is upto and soon realises as she feels she is being pulled back, closer to him.
Shravan pulls her closer by pulling on the dori, minimising the already short distance and blows hot breaths on her shoulder while tying the doris. She closes her eyes and leans back once he is done and he kisses her deeply on her forehead. He notices she has not worn any of her jewellery which is placed on the small table in front of him. He takes her necklace and makes her wear it, tracing his fingers around her neck. Sumo's eyes are still closed as she feels his fingers trailing around her neck and she takes in a deep breath. She opens her eyes and finds in front of her looking at him with a smile on his face. She smiles back at him and tries taking her earrings which are in his hands. But he raises his hands just as she manages to get one. She wears it quickly and asks him to give the other one. But he raises his hands higher.
"Shravan, we are getting late! Earring de do na, please!"
"Le lo na Sumo, main ne kab mana kiya hai?" He responds with a naughty smile on his face.
"Shravan!!!" She glares at him.
She tries pulling him by his arm but she cannot reach him. They both recall similar incidents that happened in the past and laugh out loudly. They would never change and would never let their relationship change they decided in that moment.
