So, the vrat is over.😳

So is the arguement😃😆 or Not?

Looks like open ended resolution of arguement never remains that, open ended. The issues come up sooner or later, way too soon in our Devakshi's case😆😕

The patchup was super cute. See, Dev never wants to bring tears to Sonakshi's eyes neither does Sona want to hurt Dev. . But sometimes emotions and circumstances are such that you dont even realise when you end up hurting the one you love.

When he realised that the truth is not revealed, he just holds her into an embrace. And obviously, Sona's anger was long gone. . So they patched up😳

A little detail nicely added about Dev not eating the breakfast and later asking her to bring that first breakfast she made😳

Devakshi bits were feel good and heartwarming😃

Pure 250 tourist spot dekhna zaruri hai kya🤣

Literally, they are not going to france, are they?😲

The little moment when he says they won't fight again was so nicely done,

But the thing worth noting here is, Dev said this and later when Sona was leaving at night, he reminded her of it.

But then what suddenly happened that he snapped at her so bad?

Two reasons,

1. He is very protective about his past. He literally believes what Dixit family has gone through is unimaginable for Sonakshi. And he thinks there is no point explaining it to her.

2. Dev is so badly caged in his past, that the very mention of it now irks him. He wants to get rid of it badly. The circumstances and his mother dont let him forget the dark times. He has a very slight awareness of how alarmingly possessive Ish is about him and that him disappointing her, will break Ish's heart. He knows how vulnerable his and his mother's relationship is. .and there is no reason to it.

Also, he may have a slight realisation that this can be an equation changer in DevAkshi relationship as well. . so he gets irritated when he has to talk about it. Because actually there is no proper explanation to it.

What do you think is the reason?

P.S. Ishwari cooks and cooks and cooks😆

P.P.S Did you look at Dev's smile in the precap? Sona surely knows how to pamper and express her love

I would say "or not", at least not entirely. coz Dev was bemused for being pulled up by Sona for not being forthright with his mother.

But I saw few good things come of this last argument. Dev talks about his past as the reason why he cannot upset his mother. Sona tells him that she wants to understand him (including his past), to which he responds that it will be hard to do it in a week's time and rightfully so. The dialogues were well done in this part. Each was right in their own place. It was not a silly blame game but true to life situation that is very relatable.

Only wish that Dev gives Sona a little more credit for understanding his pain...why else did he seek her out every time he was troubled during their early relationship days. Of course, his past is a different matter. The only times he opened up about them with Sona was when she met with the accident and on the night he confesses his love. (probably goes to show Dev, needs something huge to happen to open up to Sona,,,God forbid, it isn't something bad between them :()

)

While Sona gave it her all to calm things down, Dev was not completely pacified. People do that, when they get defensive. In this case, Dev had his reasons for having a second dinner but it showed him in a weaker light. And men don't like it and even women for that matter. Humans tend to hit back when they are shown in poorer light and here Dev's inability was enhanced. (Poor dude, God knows how many double meals he has had for mama's sake over the years. No wonder he needs to hit the gym regularly 😆). But having said that, I must admit that I did not think there was anything wrong in what Dev did tonight. After all, it is a festival night and he did not inform his mother that he won't be making it for dinner. I have done this (double meals) to not hurt family too.

Of course, Dev's problem is not that simple. It isnt about one meal. As you said, Dev is caged by his past and it would be very interesting to see how Dev-Sona will cross this bridge successfully. Sona is giving it her all and I hope Dev finds a way to love her without barriers.

P.S - The less said of Ishwari the better coz her insecurities are peaking.

P.P.S - You are right about Dev understanding his mother's possessiveness and insecurities, just not the extent. Whether it was the time when he inadvertently tells his mother (drunken state on Sonakshi's engagement night), that Ishwari was testing to see whom he loves more between ISh-Sona or tonight when he quietly eats dinner knowing she will be upset, if he turns down dinner.

After all, he is well aware of the fact that his mother gave him more of everything while shortchanging Neha of the most basic things like education in the process.

I missed the epi So cannot comment on that. But did Dev again shouted on Sona because of his past? He is actually tied with his past so badly by his family. Specially his mother, even if he wants to move on, he will never be able to. I really hope Sona will help him out in this matter.

Btw nice post as usual and i got a glimpse of epi through it.

i too feel dev has a slight knowledge to ishwari's insecurities but he doesnt voice dem ...may b he thinks ishwari ll b hurt n she may hurt herself again ...
in his inebirated state also he asked ishwari tu janna chahti thi ki main kisse jyaada pyar karti hu ...may b he knows d truth but is in denial mode

I am little messed up about something

Let me first pour out my uncomfortable thoughts ..
Coming to last scene ..I too wanted Dev to sweetly say that he had his food at Boses..but he didnt which made me wonder why couldnt he say so and he went to his in lawsnplace will he come back empty stomach..No and then what I found fearful here is that unknowingly Dev is boosting up Ishwari's illusion of "nothing has changed" , which will have some serious repercussions in future and I dread it , Also What Sona said was right she actually said what I was thinking that he could have refused dinner but he didnt
now why Dev didnt
1 he didnt want to upset Ishwari - Ok I AGREE

2 He forgot to inform that he will have it at Bose house - I AGREE

3 It was festival day and not having anything from special festive food was right - I AGREE

What drew my attention was..Dev saying m hamesha mera intezar karti hai tupe line..which reminded me if Shaheer's interview from show launch event where he said " pehli baar aisa hoga ki beta aoni m ko chodna hi nahi chahta" and I kinda related it to that..If Ishwari doesnt want any change even somewhere Dev is lil apprehensive about it and I dont know it might be because of Ishwari nd not for himself , he doesnt his mothr to feel left out or uncomfortable

now about past like you said he is caged by his past..yeah , I would say Ishwari has clutched him to his past ..He is extremely touchy about it nd it is a very sensitive part if his life , no doubt , nd when Sona talks or asks about it he is so cruely pulled back to his childhood that he cringes even by mere tiny mention of it , though Sona was so adorbs today , ok Sona wanted to comfort him and wants him to pour out everything he has burried deep inside him but he doesnt t want to get back to it ..why

1 because its too painful nd he doesnt want to go throught it again

2 he doesnt want Sona to get hurt by it,.coz she is his beautiful present and future nd he doesnt want any dark shadow of his past to fall on her

I cant think of any other reason besides these sighh but I also feel he will very easily come out of it once Ishwari wilk stop scratching it again sndagain he has Sona which will make him forget it

now other thing which scared me snd disturbed me was Dev going to lengths to kerp Idhwaro happy, ots not like I have seen it for the first time but now he has wife so I wiuld lile him to be a little bent towards Sona too, but how irked nd touchy he gets when it comes to Ishwari so my fear is will he ever be able to see the possesiveness or control Idhwari wants on him his life ?? he wants to protect Ishwari to maximum extent so will he recognize that his mothr is not normsl ?? or Sona and he will havd huge fight regarding it ?? asj toh choti si baat par he snaped nd got upset in a second :(
Its gonna be very very tough much more then my imagination :(

I so adored Sona how she kept calm ..sweet girl nd Dev said thry will not fight but jahan Ish aati hai wahan sab bhool jata hai woh lol :(

You are absolutely right Dev is caged by his past how can he come out of it when his mother always makes him feel guilty about that very past he knows his mother sacrificed a lot for him so now its his time to pamper his mother only she has taken his pampering as if its only for her solely .

Dev today again I cannot blame him he was not frustrated no all he meant was Sona truly understanding him his past will take her a long time it will not happen overnight .

I can already see these two in the coming months having great understanding

Dev at the moment is pulled down by family obligations and past baggage whenever he thinks about the past there is sadness unlike when Neha speaks about the past there is frustration and dislike for that phase .

I also do think in time Dev will come out of his past while he and Sona just gets stronger and stronger

Great post...

I enjoyed the light moments on the Bose table...

And I liked the subtlety in which the Husband and wife handled Ishwari at the dining table...

It's a start for Dev.. He will open up to Sona, I see the light in the tunnel... I loved Sona's understanding and that's what I think will win over everything :)

PS: loved Dev's expression -he was surely surprised ❤️
