Part 15

Asad came to d room wid Roshni wen Zeenat left d room. Zoya tuk Roshni 4m his hands.

"She needs to sleep. She has not sleep 4m a long time," said Zoya.

Zoya was abt to get up 4m d bed but Asad stopped her.

"U need rest. I will make her sleep," said Asad.

Zoya handed Roshni to him. He gently placed Roshni in her cradle which was next to Zoya's bed. He rocked d cradle for some time till she fell asleep. He then went near Zoya who was resting on d bed. He sat by her side on d bed n tuk her hands in his'.

"Asad, our marriage function got ruined," said Zoya.

He kissed her knuckles n said, "Zoya, we will get married soon. Don't think abt 2day."

"I wish we have fallen for each other much earlier then we won't be wid wrong partners- me wid Faiz & u wid Tanveer," said Zoya.

"Even I think so but its still nice dat at least we r now 2gthr," said Asad.

They talked for some time. Then Zoya closed her eyes to rest. Asad kissed her forehead lovingly. He got up 4m d bed n went to d cradle. He smiled at Roshni who was sleeping. He knelt near d cradle n lukd at her wid a smile. She badly needed a good sleeping as she was tired wid her so much crying due to missing her mother.

"I don't care due to whom u came in dis world but I only care dat very soon I will bcum ur dad. I don't even want to think who ur so-called father is but I only know dis much only I will be ur father. I will give u so much love dat no one will ever doubt me as ur step-father. Wen u were growing in ur mom's tummy, I wud wait for u come out so dat I wud hold u in my arms. Wen I finally held u in my arms for d 1st time, I felt as if Allah sent a very beautiful angel for me. I always love seeing ur smile but weneva u cry I feel pain in my heart. U have no idea how much happy u made me by cumn in dis world. I kept ur name as Roshni as u brought light in everyone's life even before u were born," said Asad wid a smile.

He covered her wid d blanket properly n kissed her forehead.

Zoya woke up in d evening after hours of sleeping. She saw Asad sitting on a chair by her bedside. She lukd at Roshni who was still sleeping soundly in her cradle.

"How r u feeling?" asked Asad.

"Better," replied Zoya, "I badly need to shower n change."

"U wait for some time. I will make a relaxing bath for u," said Asad.

"Okay," said Zoya.

Asad went inside d washroom. Zoya heard a sound crying n lukd around to see her little princess waking up. She tuk her in her arm n rocked her to stop her 4m crying. She tuk a milk bottle 4m d beside table n started feeding her. D baby stopped crying after some time. Asad came out of d bathroom n saw Zoya feeding Roshni milk.

"She woke up," said Asad.

"She was crying cuz she was hungry," said Zoya as she finished feeding her.

"Oh," said Asad, "I will take care of her."

Zoya got up 4m d bed n handed him d baby. Zoya tuk her clothes 4m d cupboard n went inside d washroom while Asad sat on d bed n placed d baby in his lap.

(Zoya is resting in her bathtub. Tears come 4m her eyes as she thinks abt finding herself kidnapped by Faiz n Akram, Faiz slapping her 2wice wen she tried to slap him, Faiz drugging her wid d injection, Faiz slapping her again for calling Faiz, Faiz trying to get close to her while she was tied, Faiz drugging her again to control her. Zoya wiped her tears as she thinks how she was saved by Asad, Haider, Ayaan n others.)

Zoya came out of d washroom wearing grey t-shirt n black track pants. She saw Asad making faces at Roshni to making her giggle. Asad noticed her.

"I was just trying to entertain her," said Asad wid a smile.

"I can see," said Zoya wid a smile.

Roshni pouted at Asad which indicated dat she wants him to entertain more. Asad smiled n started making faces. Roshni smiled n giggled while laughed her out. Her laughter felt good to his ears. She is laughing for d 1st time after 2day's incident.

"Roshni enough now, let Asad rest," said Zoya.

"Zoya, let it be. I am fine," said Asad.

"I know but u really need rest as u did not rest 4m a long time," said Zoya.

"Okay," said Asad.

"I will change Roshni's clothes as she is still in d attire of my wedding," said Zoya.

Asad nodded n left d room while Zoya went to d cupboard to bring Roshni's clothes.

At night, all sat for dinner. Asad was still at home as he decided to leave 2mrw.

"Wateva happened 2day was very bad," said Anwar.

"Dad, lets not think abt dat," said Humeira.

"Wen sud d marriage happen now?" asked Haider.

"Wen Zoya will be alright," replied Zeenat.

"I am already alright, mom," said Zoya.

"I know but u need to recover fully as u r still shaken wid d incident & also u r weak due to drug injection," said Zeenat.

"Aunty is right. We will wait for some time," said Asad.

After dinner, Zoya put Roshni to sleep n then stood in d balcony wid Asad to talk.

"We were supposed to get married 2day. I & Roshni wud have been in Khan Villa but some people ruined our day," said Zoya sadly.

"We will soon get married widout anyone ruining our day," said Asad wid a smile.

"Some women even commented in our engagement dat I am bringing dowry for u & ur family in d form of Roshni. How can they call a small baby as dowry?" said Zoya.

"We sud not pay attention to those women. They only know to speak nonsense. U remember na how ammi n aunty handled those women very well," said Asad.

"Yes I remember," said Zoya.

After d photo session of everyone in d engagement, it was time for d feast. D same elderly women who taunted Zoya for being a divorcee started speaking nonsense.

"We know dat u all don't support dowry but Zoya herself is bringing dowry in ur house after marriage," said d 1st woman.

"Wat dowry? Wat do u mean?" asked Humeira.

"She means dat Zoya is bringing her daughter 4m her 1st husband as dowry," replied d 2nd woman n giggled wid other 2 women.

All were shocked to hear her reply.

"How dare u called my baby as a dowry?" asked Zoya furiously.

"Wat wrong did she said?" asked d 3rd woman, "Cuz of u bringing ur daughter 4m ur 1st husband, ur husband n ur in-laws will have to adjust wid her."

"Wen u all cud not win earlier by bringing Zoya being divorced wid a daughter, u all r now bringing a small f to win. Shame on all of u for saying such disgusting things being women urselves," replied Zeenat wid disgust, "Just cuz my daughter has a kid 4m her previous marriage u all r saying such nonsense. I am sure u wud have not said d same if it was Asad having a kid 4m his previous marriage. U wud all have suggested dat since Asad is divorced wid a kid n separated 4m his wife, he sud get married again as he needs a life partner n also his kid needs a mother. If a man goes thru all dis, people like u sympathize wid that man but if a woman goes all thru dis, people like u don't care abt her."

"(Lukn at 1^st woman)U got ur divorced son wid 2 kids married to another woman wid d excuse of him needing a life partner n kids needing a mother n now wen my future daughter-in-law is doing d same, u all r passing comments on her n her daughter. No wonder why people say dat women r their own worst enemy," said Dilshad wid horror.

D 1st woman eyes became wide on hearing abt herself.

"U all have come here to attend d engagement n have feast then kindly do d same istead of running ur dirty mouth," said Asad firmly, "For ur kind information, we don't need to adjust wid a family. So don't say dat we will have to adjust wid Roshni. We don't want to hear anymore crap 4m ur mouths. Be in ur limits instead of crossing it."

D women shuts up.

Asad n Zoya come to d present.

"I can't believe some people putting their noses anywhere," said Zoya.

"They have no useful job to do other than talking nonsense," said Asad.

He hugs her 4m back n she keeps her hands on his hands. They remain in dis position wid smiles on their faces. Then Asad left d room for guest room.

Next morning, after breakfast Zoya went wid Roshni to leave Asad till his car. Roshni was moving her hands 2wards Asad. Asad smiled n tuk her 4m Zoya's hands.

"I will miss u, baby. Very soon, we will live 2gthr," said Asad wid a smile.

Roshni smiled at him. He kissed her n gave her back to Zoya. Asad sat in his car. Zoya waved him goodbye. Roshni moved her hand to wave him goodbye. Asad smiled at both of them n waved them goodbye before driving away 4m there.

Days passed by. Asad n Zoya's familes used to visit each other. Asad n his family wud sumtyms bring gifts for Roshni. Zoya was recovering due to Asad, Roshni n both of their families. Everyone decided d wedding date which was 2 weeks later 4m their last wedding attempt as Zoya needed some time to get over d trauma of dat day.

Finally, d wedding day came. Dis time it was in d night. Zoya was dressed in a red lehenga n Asad was dressed in a black shewani. Roshni wore a beautiful purple frock. Rahat, Haya n Aman were also invited for d wedding as they were on good terms wid them. Asad n Zoya said Qubool Hai 3 times to each other. Everyone congratulated them. As everyone got up, Asad tuk Roshni in his arms being happy dat they have finally became father-daughter.

"Roshni baby, I am officially ur dad now & u r officially my daughter," said Asad wid a smile, "U have no idea how much I was waiting for dis moment."

Roshni flashed her toothless smile him.

"Luks like u too waited for dis moment," said Asad wid a smile.

Roshni nodded her head wid a smile. Asad kissed her cheek lovingly. Then there was photoshoot of both d family members & d guests. After dat, there was a feast.

It was time for Zoya going to her in-laws along wid Roshni. Zoya was crying while hugging her parents n siblings. Wen Roshni became to cry, Asad tuk her in his arms 4m Zoya's hands n started rocking her. Roshni stopped crying in some time but Zoya still had tears in her eyes. Finally, she wiped her tears n stood wid Asad who was still carrying Roshni.

"Take care of our daughter. She already suffered a lot. Take care of our grand-daughter also," said Zeenat emotionally.

"Mom, u don't need to worry abt Zoya n Roshni. I will take love my wife n little princess a lot," said Asad wid a smile.

Zoya n Roshni finally bids goodbye to her family n went near d big car wid Asad. Ayaan sat on d front seat wid driver. Asad n Zoya sat on d middle seat along wid Najma. Roshni was sitting on Zoya's lap. Dilshad, Nikhat n Nuzhat sat on d back seat.

"She has slept," said Zoya.

"She is also tired na due to being awake too much for d wedding," said Asad.

After some time, they reached KV. All got out. Asad's mother n siblings went inside 1st n welcome AsYa n Roshni. Roshni who was in Asad's hand woke up.

Najma tuk Roshni in her hand n said wid a smile, "Bhaijaan, u have to carry bhabhi to ur room in ur arms as per tradition."

Asad smiled n lifted Zoya in his arms n started carrying her to their room. Zoya too smiled as she kept her 1 arm around his neck for support. Wen he reached d door, his sisters stopped him to ask for a bribe. Asad told Nikhat to take his purse 4m his pocket n distribute d money among themselves. Nikhat agreed n tuk d purse 4m his pocket. He was then allowed to go. Najma entered d room 1st only to place Roshni in a cradle which was near d bed dat was put in Asad's room 2 weeks earlier 2 days before his earlier wedding attempt. Najma changed Roshni's clothes before leaving d room n told Asad dat he can go inside now wid Zoya.

Asad entered d room n shut d door making Zoya nervous. D room was decorated wid flowers, ribbons, decorative curtains, aromatic candles, perfumes. D bed was decorated wid decorative curtains, flowers n rose petals. Asad placed Zoya gently on d bed.

"Zoya, u & Roshni made me so happy 2day," said Asad wid a smile n kissed her forehead.

They then heard Roshni's giggle.

"Ya Allah! Zoya exclaimed, "I need to make her sleep. She saw u kissing me."

Zoya sits up.

"Come on, Zoya. She only saw me kissing ur forehead not ur lips. Also, she did not saw me doing sumthn else other than kiss," said Asad wid a amusing smile.

She glared at him n he stopped smiling. Zoya smiled at Roshni n started rocking her cradle. Asad kept his hand on Zoya's cradle helping her n rocking d cradle. Soon, they made Roshni sleep 2gthr n kissed her. Zoya then covered her wid d blanket.

"She has slept now," said Zoya wid a smile.

"Zoya, I know u had a very bad marriage. I know it will be hard for u to get comfortable wid me so I will wait till u r ready to take our relationship further," said Asad calmly.

"Asad, I am very much comfortable wid u so I am ready," said Zoya wid a smile.
