So, Fatima Banu who in an earlier episode has expressed dislike for hindus and disgust for Ashish informs Avni about her birth and the meaning of najayaz.

Fatima Banu has her biases and stereotypes people who practice hinduism and Dayaben. She may or may not be aware of the fact that Asha deliberately hid from Ashish the fact that she was pregnant and coerced him into having an illicit relationship with her. She may or may not be aware that it is Asha who wants to continue living the life of a mistress and enforce her views of family on Avni. She may or may not be aware that Ashish hoodwinked his mother, siblings, Neela and Hemant Bhai into believing that he is a honest and morally upright bachelor. Fatima is not aware that about 11 years ago and recently before Avni's sports day when his mother and Neela questioned him about Asha or any other woman - he replied that he had no relationship with her or anyone else.

Fatima is not aware that the decision of continuing the mistress type relation was that of ISha ALONE. No one - certainly not Dayaben - was responsible for that decision. And yet Fatima gave Avni the perception that it was Dayaben who was responsible for Ashish staying away from them and today Asha gave Avni the impression that she was a closet Muslim because of Dayaben.

This is so reprehensible - they are portraying Dayaben as the villain. Fatima and Asha are blaming Dayaben for Asha and Ashish's choices and lifestyle. They are brain washing Avni into believing this untruth.

I find it despicable that they are turning Avni against her Dadi. Ashish too is equally to blame for not being honest and getting Avni to meet his grandmother!

Good point. Everyone is pointing fingers at Dayavanti and conveniently ignoring their own mistakes. Yes, she is against Asha and Avni. But she learnt about them just recently 😕 What was the excuse until then? Ashish's pathological fear of his mother? Asha's complete willingness to live as a mistress and impose illegitimacy on her children? Both Fatima Begum and Dayavanti have their prejudices. But the true culprits are Asha and Ashish, and instead of accepting their mistakes, they hide behind the flimsy shield of "true love" and play victims 🥱

That's why I felt dayavanti was not responsible for avni's issues.

It would be sad to see avni fight against her dadi or blame her for not having a normal family.

Yes, it will be sad to watch Avni blame or fight with her Dadi!

Right now, I feel very sad watching Avni's parents messing her mental health. Avni's childhood has been stolen away from her and she has been forced to don the role of a big sister to her parents. To add to it - she has been given a distorted view of why her birth was that of a najayaz and why Ashish does not live in Asha and Avni's house with a large dose of negative inter-religious perception.

Only Mahesh Bhatt knows how much of this is fictional and how much autobiographical.

In any event, the psychological health of this smart and cute girl is being thoroughly messed up!
