I know, it is mad to expect PM to respond to this controversy. I don't think he has wish or time to watch Bollywood movies, be it Shivaay or ADHM. So this controversy will be least of his priority. But still, I wish his party takes a stand on this issue (banning movies with Pakistani artists) and stand by it.
The current situation looks so chaotic. Everyone says national sentiments. But deep inside, theatre owners seem to worry about vandalism.Government has to state it clearly; Violence or vandalism by any organisation will not be tolerated at any cost, irrespective of the reasongiven (even if it is as big as national sentiment).Any boycott has to be voluntary, every protest should be nonviolent. (Something in the lines of users uninstalling snapdeal app). Or else, government should deal it as law and order problem.Any decision should come from centre, not from any organisation. Be it a political party or producer's association or producer's association.Government should give out a clear message, it is not run by proxies. It has not outsourced it's policy making to non state actors/organisations as in the case of Pakistan. (Sorry to bring in another country's name. But the image of a strong (decisive) government can get dented due to some organisations).
