The current situation looks so chaotic. Everyone says national sentiments. But deep inside, theatre owners seem to worry about vandalism.

Government has to state it clearly; Violence or vandalism by any organisation will not be tolerated at any cost, irrespective of the reasongiven (even if it is as big as national sentiment).
Any boycott has to be voluntary, every protest should be nonviolent. (Something in the lines of users uninstalling snapdeal app). Or else, government should deal it as law and order problem.

Any decision should come from centre, not from any organisation. Be it a political party or producer's association or producer's association.
Government should give out a clear message, it is not run by proxies. It has not outsourced it's policy making to non state actors/organisations as in the case of Pakistan. (Sorry to bring in another country's name. But the image of a strong (decisive) government can get dented due to some organisations).

Bold - This is not the first time these threat have come ...possibly happened more than a dozen times earlier...and they have screened  the movie and movies did well too...what is different this time that the association wants to defer release...in  my view Nationalism is the differentiation...If you think its something else...Please state.

Blue  - Isnt that expected from every citizen, why should it be re-stated time and again... and the govt has assured support for screening as they usually do...Btw there is no chaos outside of IF...in the nation a 25 pts drop on NSE creates more noise  level...and it happens frequently.

Red - Associations are not proxies...they are  legally registered empowered representative organisation...its no different from Labour Unions ...You are challenging the fundamentals of constitution...besides protest by political party is within legal framework (not vandalism though) and they are supposed to represent people...you cant gag voices in a democracy.

...As far as threats are concerned KJo is free to register a complaint ...and Fox can get a court order to reverse the action by association if they find it is illegal, instead of crying everyday on the media

Dude, its not about lalach, paisa when this film was being shot, relations were normal between two countries. Karan didn't cast these pak actors or shot with them during Uri attacks. Now the situation is different so what should he do? Shelve his film? Should Modi ji too go back in time cancel his lahore visit? Or ask Sharieff to return back shawl and sarees that he gifted him?

Bold - In real life we cant edit the past but hindsight wisdom helps shape the future course...Modi realised its no point flogging a dead horse...so he changed his approach.

Red - Movies can be edited/reshot ...like Modi changed his approach...Karan can see the present situation and either Edit or Reshoot

If the association says it is in tune with National sentiment...meaning the majority of nation doesnt want to see a Pak face...Period...respect the Janta janardhan view. ...and just go back and reshoot.
