Hi,
I am new to this forum...live in New York and watch krpkab online like many others...unfortunately online and international viewing don't count for TRPS or whatever Thai is otherwise this show would climb high on the charts...many of my friends watch this show.
'Realistic writing" is the matter of observation and experience...and CVS base their story on them...viewers who can relate to that laude their efforts and those who don't critize them...people tend to mold the characters' reactions in a given situation according to their own rationality and one such person is me😊
living in a more liberal society, minus joint family and MIL I don't relate to submissive and holy Sona but to free spirited, independent self respecting Sona.her indepth assessment of dev and his mom was right on target when she refused to marry him in spite of loving him...call it her gut feeling ...but ishwari's political and her mothers pratical approach swayed her decision and she succumbed to love...black and white Sona became colored😊
Intelligent and smart that she is she needs to realize ishwari's obsessive and abnormal attachment to dev and face the fact that ishwari needs psychiatric treatment. She won't like any girl for dev ...she wants him only for herself... Sona needs to investigate and find the little box which contains ishwari's secret due to which khatri was blackmailing her before he vanished from the show...maybe her insecurities are connected to that? Now how real would that be?😊
I want that Sona who stood up to ishwari and gkb post breakup when she went to dev's house to get something for the last time? She really floored me in that episode especially those lines : I know dev more in 3 months than u know him in 28 yrs.
I want that Sona not anybody's "reality" Sona

Story telling is a very gradual process. How you tell a story also depends on your perception and the atmosphere where you are building the characters. To show what is right, you need to show the wrong. As you mentioned the scene where Sonakshi came in and on Ishwari and Maami's face she spoke the TRUTH, truth that they did not like. She spoke that at that time, because they made her to. To again speak up like that, she needs to be wronged again, she is reqd to be made to show them the 'right' again.

You can't straight away show a convicted getting a 10 years prison without gradually showing how he committed the crime to get such a punishment. To show the punishment and justify it, you need to show the crime. KRPKAB is currently in that phase where crime is committed. Time will be come when the criminals will pay back. It's a gradual process. It will happen as it happened before in the show too.

This in no way changes Sona's character or her strength. We are seeing all this nonsense for 10 episodes may be. But it's just been 5 days in the show since they are married!

reality depends on oexperiences but the reality shown on tv or the one you experienced is not the only reality out there. however, serials get more viewership, TRP's when they show negativity so makers rather show this version as opposed to the one that can empower individuals or start a different conversation.

Hey Jyoti, welcome to the forum :) loved you post and agree with all the points you highlighted.
Just like yourself, I am based overseas (in dubai) and hooked to the show.

Not just Sona, but even Dev. A gradual progression is what we want to see in line with their true character. Reality can be different from fiction, however, we have spent enough time with these characters to predict how they would react in a given situation. Blame it on the makers, they did an astounding job is sketching and projecting dev-sona-ishwari that now when they serve us a half-baked dish, we are unable to digest it.

Reality is surely a matter of opinion, and in the name of reality I don't want to see unrealistic aand false reactions from such real life characters the makers created.

Hi Jyothi ..welcome to the forum!
Yes, I too wish Sona went back to that person she was post breakup. Not this eager to please girl. Plus this Vicky cornering and taunting her is seriously creepy.

Really nice post!
I also live abroad and hence do not contribute to the TRPs unfortunately. However, now I have got my parents and in laws hooked, so hopefully they contribute :)

I am actually surprised by how emotional everyone including me get after watching this show. I wonder why since its very rare for a show to have this much of an impact. It is usually when they show a slice of life that we can relate to that we get so emotional. I think for a lot of people, they are seeing a milder or a stronger version of what they have been through.

I was watching episodes 1-10 and realised that the level of drama there was pretty similar with Neha's and Mamiji's melodrama and Dev's devotion to the kind of OTT drama that we are witnesssing now on the show. I think we need to give the show time to create enough mess that it becomes enjoyable to watch after that. I feel like they are setting the premise. As for today's spoiler on Nikki, remember Neha had her sister in law barge in on their actual SR, so the parallel I suppose!

I just hope we continue to support the show and the channel continues to support the vision of the makers and not push them into a corner to garner TRP. I think its high time they realise that they have a lot of viewers who love the show that do not contribute to TRPs and none of their efforts are going make the people who watch supernatural kinda shows turn to watching our show!
