If both are diff. then Maya's parent's split when she was a toddler because her mom mentioned silver jubilee. If they split when she was that young was she with her dad for a while that he abused her and scared her and she went running back to her mom?

Also Maya was confident when talking about her mom's lover but she composed herself before talking. Maybe she didn't want to show that she was relieved?

Yes they seem to be different person as her mom was eagerly waiting for her lover but when Maya's dad came she seemed indifferent.
