Smiling, on her way back to her clinic, Ishitha remembered how Raman cuddled to her all the time they had spent having food together. He was delighted like a kid when she surprised him by visiting his office during the lunch time. Making her sit on his lap he ate from her hands whispering sweet nothings. She lost the count of I-love-you's in between his short and sweet kisses over her.

Checking her appointments for the day, she left for her home as she still hadn't decided her outfits for the functions upcoming. She got home and carried out in her household chores only to get herself to hear about an accident in the same area which she had earlier heard.

Flashback:

"Ishitha!! Aaj shaam kho mujhe Big Enterprises kho jaana hoga!!! Unke sath ek deal karne kha soch raha hoon!!!" said Raman discarding the napkin she had given instead rubbing his mouth against her saree.

[Ishitha!! I need to go to Big enterprises in the evening!! I was thinking to have a deal with them!!!]

"All the best!!" she pulled her saree, smiling.

"Yeh toh vahi jagah hai kaha Raman gaye the!!" she said calling Raman only to find it unreachable.

[This is the place where Raman has his meeting!!]

"Kya!?! Yehan toh fire accident hua hai!!! Matarani mera puttar kho bacha lena!!" Toshi cried.

[What??There happened a fire accident!!! Matarani save my child!!!]

"Mai abhi jaathi hoon Raman khe paas!!"Ishitha's voice shivered.

[I'll go to Raman!!]

"Nahi bhabhi!! Who bahooth door hai!! Humein jaane mei bahooth der hojayegi!!" Romi intervened.

[No bhabhi!! It's so far!! It will get late for us to reach there!!!]

"Bhabhi!! Aap tension math lijiye!! Bhai kha meeting paanch baje ka tha ab tho aat bhaj rahi hai!! Bhai definitely on the way hi hoga!!" Mihir, who had just come convinced the family.

[Bhabhi!! Don't worry!! The meeting was by 5'o clock and its eight now!! He will be on his way to home!!!]

"haan mummiji!! Mihir sahi keh raha hai!! Aap chinta math kariye!! Simmi jara sambhalo..!!! Mei abhi atha hoon!!!" Ishitha slipped into her room.

[Yes mummiji!! Mihir is correct!! You don't take any tension!! Simmi take care...!! I'll just be back!!]

Adi, who had heard the entire conversation, got scared for his father.

Even though Mihir's words comforted him to an extent he was still worried and couldn't share it with anyone as it would just stress them out more. As he saw his paati consoling and convincing his daadi he ran to his mom and shared everything with her,

"I'm scared mom!!" his voice choked.

"Haww!! Adi beta don't worry papa kuch nahi hoga!!" Shagun exclaimed holding her purse all set to leave.

[Haww!! Adi!! Don't worry!! Nothing will happen to your dad!!]

"Ab mumma ka spa appointment kha time hui hai!! Bye!!" she said not caring for his reply while he stood there not knowing what to do.

[It's time for my spa appointment!! Bye!!]

Knocking the door, he slowly entered his father's bedroom where Ishitha was sitting on the bed silently. Her eyes red and sore, indicating that she had been crying. He didn't know how to console her and stood just before the bed.

"Hmm..Adi!! Bolo kaisa thi aaj ka din!??" she said flashing a fake smile.

[Hmm...Adi!! How was your day??]

"I'm scared" he whispered and she got that he was tensed for his father. Opening her arms for him, she caressed his hair while he lay down in her lap. Silence prevailed; she continued doing that occasionally wiping her flowing tears. He knew that she was crying but words didn't make their way out of his mouth. He tightened his hold around her palm and turned to a side, closing his eyes unable to face her.

After making sure that he had slept, Ishitha got up trying to call Raman for the nth time. Meanwhile, in the living room, Raman hugged all the family members assuring them he was fine. His eyes were constantly wandering for his wife. Unable to wait for her, he asked

"Maa!! Ishitha kaha hai?? Who tikh haina!!??"

[Maa!! Where is Ishitha?? Is she fine??]

"Haan puttar!! Who tikh hai!!" Toshi said but it went to deaf ears as his senses stopped working looking at her. He knows that she has been worried, she has been crying. Before he could utter anything, she came running into his arms sobbing uncontrollably. As he took a step back to balance their weight, his hands rubbed her back and kept on comforting her.

"Ravan kumar!! Aap se bilkul bath nahi karoongi!! Kabhi nahi!!" she cuddled more into him.

[Ravan kumaar!! I'm not talking to you!! Never ever!!]

"Hmm..." he kept on peppering small kisses wherever possible and hidden by her tresses from the audience who were un-cared. The family stood dumb as they didn't expect Ishitha to be this scared of a probability. She seemed very exhausted and miserable despite the courageous woman they have known.

"shush..!!Ishitha!!!shush!!! Pls..yaar ro mat!!!" he said kissing her forehead and sucking off her tears.

[Shush!!Ishitha!!!shush!!! Pls Don't cry!!!]

"Maine aap kho call kiya tha!! Aap ek baar nahi kar sakte te?? Dekho aaj se mei bhi nahi karoongi!!!" she complained cutely making him smile.

[I called you!! Can't you even call me once?? I'll never call you again!!]

"Madrasan!! Mera gaadi karaab hogaya!! Aur mobile kha charging bhi khatam hogaya!!I'm sorry!!! Bahuth royi na mere wajah se!!" he said wiping her tears and pecking her forehead.

[Madrasan!! My car got damaged and mobile was out of charge!! I'm sorry!! You cried a lot because of me!!]

"Hmm..." she hugged him tighter.

"ahem..." Romi cleared his throat bringing the couple back to the living room of Bhalla's.

"Bhabhi!! Aap ro rahe the andar aur hamse yeh baat chupaayi ki aap bahooth dar gaye the!!" he complained while Ishitha just smiled at him.

[Bhabhi!! You were weeping inside and didn't even bother to let us know that you were scared!!]

"Arey mujhe tho teri halat patha tha lekin yeh tho bhol ki meri Jhansi ki rani aisi darthi bhi he kya??" Raman taunted.

[Arey!! I know you would be this worried but I don't know when my Jhansi ki rani became this coward!]

"Mei Jhansi ki Rani tab hoon jab mera paas Ravan hoga!!" she smiled slyly making him reciprocate the same while the family grinned at their way of comforting each other.

"Yeh kya hai Raman??" she asked noticing blood on his left palm.

[What is this Raman??]

"Arey!! Who jab gaadi teekh kar raha tha tab..." he couldn't complete as he was pulled to the couch nearby and was given a lecture of taking care and being responsible of oneself by his wife with his wound being dressed carefully.

"Toh ab mujhe call karogi naa..?" he asked looking hopefully at her.

[So you will call me right??]

"Nahi karungi tho..." she couldn't help but tease him for his child-like expectations and noticing the same he grabbed the back of her head slowly bending it below his.

[If I don't...]

"tho mei ghar aakhar..." he husked smiling as she closed her eyes surrendering to him.

[then I'll come home and...]

"Papa!!" Ruhi cheered and he was harshly pushed to reality.

Both Adi and Ruhi came running to him and hugged him tight. Even though this was a daily routine for Ruhi, Adi coming to him was new and overwhelming him. He looked at his wife who batted her eyelids as if telling that their son knew about the accident and was worried for him. As he rubbed Adi's neck and back Adi faced him smiling innocently which he had missed from years and hugged him again. Raman couldn't be much happier as he had his children in his arms and his wife adoring them holding his wounded hand carefully in hers and caressing Ruhi's head.
