Sona🤗.. I can very well see that you are trying.. Trying to do something for yourself to play the new role.. Because you believe in yourself to achieve anything if you put your heart and mind into it 👏.. Trying to do something for Dev as his wife... Because you want to leave no stone unturned in showing your love for him in whatever small or big ways it could be .. And trying to do something for your parents as their darling daughter... Because you want to give no opportunity to others to blame them for their upbringing...🤗

People anyway will judge you.. If you do it, why can't give herself a break.. If you don't do it, look at her adamancy.. 😉

In all your trial and error, also keep a keen eye of observation on your surroundings dear.. Ignorance is bliss.. I know.. But it shouldn't bring a bomb blast to you when it hits on you at your bad time.. 🤔

It's very evident that there is no obvious reason for you to put on your alert cap, but as I can see it all, I can't help warning and be worried for you my girl 🤗.. Otherwise just fine for now with whatever you are trying to cope with the madness in that house.. Add on your own flavor of madness too 😉😆.. Not sure whether you'll find your home in here but let's see what you get for your efforts... 👏

And glad to see Dev thinking for you and looking out for you.. That's a good sign..

BTW, if you gotta do the tulsi pooja daily before going to work, are you gonna sleep in Rhea/Nikki's room daily?! You better get a room for yourself too...😆

She doesn't know your boundry limits and your territorial possessiveness.. And looks like you have to open up and stop Sona from touching the border line.. Or else she will be everywhere around you soon 😆... She's excited to be an ideal bahu like you 😉... She doesn't know your limitations.. And what you want.. You better give her the signs very clearly.. And first and foremost thing send her to her workplace now... You want your house to be always yours... Let's see what you will find at the end...😉

Ishu gets so jealous when Dadu bua says smthing good to Sona. Best wud be Sona to enjoy her professional life n leave cooking n house work for Ishu.

Loved the fact that Dev told Sona she doesn't have to prove anything. That she doesn't have to do all this puja and customs just to fit in. Sona says she wants to try all this wholeheartedly but deep down she yearns for Ishu's acceptance, she is still doing it all to fit in as perfect bahu. As Ishu said, Sona shud focus on things she can handle and not get involved in everything. Sona wud have to learn to decipher Ishu's behaviour and act accordingly, take a back seat when Ishu feels threatened abt Ishu's her own role in d family.

@bold: Agree... This girl has seen what power Ishu holds on Dev and vice versa.. Why wouldn't she want to try and get into her good books.. As of now she doesn't know that Ishu really doesn't want her to do all that and Sona is absolutely having no clue about what's the thing running in Ishu's mind whenever Sona tries to do anything in that house.. She must have generally categorized Ishu as a MIL with lot of expectations from the DIL.. And she wouldn't want to fail in it all.. I agree Sona going out of her way to fit in and soon she'll get tired as nothing seems to impress Ishu..😆 That's when she'll feel the pressure and her enthusiasm will die off.. Feel sad for her for that day.. Now she's all chirpy and bubbly trying her ways through it all.. 😊

Totally agreed. Just copying what I wrote in my post.

I know every new bride wants to impress her in-laws. More so, when they have to live with their in-laws. I was once a new bride too although I never lived under the same roof as my in-laws unless we went to visit them which was for a couple of days at most.

But I personally think (and it's my personal opinion) that if your true self can't impress the people you are trying to impress, trying to be someone different won't impress them either.

Who is Dr. Sonakshi Bose Dixit?

She is an amazing daughter, a loving sister, a caring friend, a wonderful girlfriend and an even better wife.

Is she a cook? No.

Is she into religious stuff like Tulsi puja? No.

Is she a cheater who lies to get out of tough situation? No, absolutely not.

Yet, that's exactly she turned into to impress her in-laws.

Every person has an innate sense of who they are and they feel uncomfortable when they are forced to behave that is out of character for them.

For Ishwari, deception is like breathing. She does it without thinking. But for Sona it is not and you could see it in her face when she took shagun from Mamaji for something she didn't do, you saw it in her tears when she convinced herself that she needs to do this for Dev.

But Dev never asked her to do any of this. He proved that when he said that Tulsi puja is not her. The her that he married is someone else. This person she is trying to be is not the person he married. She doesn't need to fit in because she is already his legally wedded wife, his family. She is perfect fit for him and that's all that matters.

He backed off when she told him that it was her decision.

If she was already into cooking but never had a chance to learn, then of course take interest in it and learn from her mother-in-law.

If she was already religious only did not know the North Indian rituals, fine, learn from Dadi bua.

But here's the thing. If you try to be something else for someone else, you will always be anyone else but you.

Totally different with you on this.. Sona trying her ways to be someone else and thinks that that's what every woman does getting into the new role... I am sure she'll realize it but hope it's not too late by then..

That's always been a problem with women... Some assume that they have to quickly adapt to the changes and some are giving hard time not ready to change.. And these two extremes have come together in the form of Sona-Ish.. Both are gonna get tired and frustrated if they push themselves into this process without giving in to the natural flow of changes...

Sona, being young and adaptable, it appears to her that it's coming to her naturally.. Though she's not forcing herself in all this, slowly she'll fall into her own trap and will start expecting some reciprocation for her acts.. When that's not gonna happen she tend to get upset... And I am just hoping she really opens her eyes before too much damage has happened to her own personality.. I wouldn't want her to lose her self-esteem and her confidence in herself... And I am not seeing her going out of her character to bring in a change in herself.. She's just trying to go with the flow.. If the new entry woman hasn't asked her to be part of the tulsi pooja I don't think she would have invited herself inyo that party.. Even in the kitchen, she was only trying to attempt, as it was asked from her.. She didn't jump on her day one telling everyone that she's gonna try her hands in the kitchen and expecting everyone to behave like good specimen test for her recipes.. 😉😆

She's only attempting to try what's asked out of her.. If she's open to learning and interested in knowing how things work, it's only a good sign that she's being open minded and not insisting on her ways into the process.. She hasn't even started knowing the process followed in her new house.. Forget about bringing in any change to it..

ishwari doesnot want sona to b ideal bahu ..use apni importance kam hone ka khatra h ..n ishwari knows sona is a keen observer n a good learner n ishwari knows it so her fear increases ten folds

Don't know about ideal bahu... Ishu is not ready to retire from her job yet... 😆 Something which she has achieved with her own hard efforts, and still part of her core identity... Not ready to let go of it... 😉
