Lol I was thinking it's all coz of Budget ...

But the REAL Reason is more Precious..

They added MEANING to every little bit of the wedding...budget toh obviously tha...look at the clothes they gave to Riya, mom and dad in keeping with their high class status but Meera has always been different and her wedding outfit ultimately reflected that...

Even initially when she wore the borrowed lehenga, she felt the need to come show it to Abhi, because he gives her that assurance.

But ultimately as she ended up wearing that sari, she knew what it would mean to him and Babli...even though it seems obvious that Meera has never worn a sari in her life before😆...she was having so much trouble carrying it...lehenga she could manage but sari was tough for her...still she wore it, and the fact that she added that Babli ki mannat wala dupatta on top just made it all the more precious...as if she was cloaked in all of Babli's blessings and that is what added to the glow on her face :)

This wedding I have no words that will justify my feelings:) Sach me, Simplicity mein hi sundarta hai" and i would like to add " Achhe logo ke saath hamesha achha hota hai"😆

Aww@ the last line...achhe logon ke saath achha hi hona chahiye :) There has been such a goodness about this cast and crew, such a beautiful positivity that has emanated through the show...bless them all, really.

Re: finite shows...yes that is what logic dictates, no? Alas, the Indian TV system doesn't seem interested in managing that process sensibly...their so called "finite" shows are only finite in name and lack proper planning...this show has managed to do so much even with unbelievable time crunches...that can only happen if they had a solid crew in place on ground...kudos to them👏

precap: so it seems Abhishek got Meera wake up early morning but she dozed off again in Mona-Rohan's room😆😆

This show has so much to offer...they r trying more than their best to please us...such injustice just done to them!! how can someone do this to a show like BBKD?? how?

That was just sooo sweet...so endearing this guy is, man...I loved how softly he asked her there...really nice voice modulation from PJ and yes, Anita jumping in also such a natural touch...jaise real life mein hota hai...everyone helping each other out...no one manages their outfits perfectly like the mahaan TV bahus😆

Kitne pyaar se maine post banaya tha, complete with the caps etc and somehow while posting it, the form got cleared! :( so frustrating. Anyways, the episode deserves yet another attempt from me...Although I don't know if I will do justice to the beauty that the episode was even in my second attempt...

Normally I have a lot of problems in choosing the best expression pic of PJ/Abhi as he looks at Meera...coz pata nahi kaise kar leta hai, but the guy has a different expression in literally EVERY single frame...and this time was no exception, but phir bhi I have a winner-

There are sooo many emotions in this one look he's given her...there is astonishment coupled with a feeling of "is this for real?" Coz just hours ago in story timeline he'd resigned himself to get married to Radhika 😆 and to now have his dream fulfilled in this manner...if Abhi helped Meera get her DDLJ moment in her love story, Meera helped him believe in miracles and the fact that not every person close to him will leave him forever 🤗 and then ofcourse there is this feeling of gratitude for her having respected his mother's wishes...

And how do I even begin to describe the beauty of the actual wedding...never before have I seen two people so absolutely happy and thrilled to just get married to each other...despite (or maybe because of) the time constraints whatever they pulled off here "seedha dil ko chuu gaya" as PJ had once said about the show. And in a way I am glad about this..and I feel, even IF they had an extension till 100 episodes or so they would have still retained the simplicity of the wedding...they spent money on just the right things - like that beautiful combo of curtains around the gazebo- yellow, pink, purple etc...the whole set-up with japanese destination wedding as Meera's dad wanted it to be...but apne aap mein Meera-Abhi were dressed so simplistically and minimally and the whole effort went into how it can be narrated well...ahh, I dunno I am at a loss for words here. So mermerizing it all was...

And I just LOVED the fact that the direction/narrative focussed on Abhi-Meera's immense happiness to finally get married...because that was the crux of it all...yes, the show could have been about bade bhaiyya ki dulhania's life, but since they had to end on this note, they made it a memorable love story...and we don't realize their journey until we actually see this happiness emanating from their faces- brilliant, brilliant acting by PJ and ND and so wonderfully captured by camera waale bhaiyya...

The poignancy of the whole Japanese destination wedding was something else altogether...matlab even Prahlad melted and for a minute or two, dadi and madhu chachi smiled and forgot about the differences and just revelled in the joy of the two people and the crazy baccha party who dotes on them.. ramraj pulling kapil's cheeks was ultra adorable...its things like this that actually signify how character driven this show is...there was drama before and after, but during the wedding everyone was just SO involved as someone here pointed out... be it Prahlad during kanyadaan, Abhi so cutely transitioning betn papa/uncle...or Jaya crying and Meera consoling her, Prahlad's worry that she should do well, despite him not considering the people worthy enough (lol, he is still behaving like a pompous ass, but then so is dadi)...all these touches were so real and so simplistic, yet they elevated the moments to another level altogether.

And this is the most cherished cap of the entire post for me...Anu, pls try and gif this bit too-

She is looking so so radiant here and positively glowing in happiness- and it's so palpable! 🤗 Meera is hands down the prettiest bride on indian telly. Period.

Then ofcourse, the sheer comfort level, like you pointed out...inspite of the fact that technically they have just come together:

I think it's a combination of brilliant writing, the fact that they invested a LOT of time and efforts in building up a believable close friendship between Abhi-Meera...and just in general the approach of these two characters towards each other. Normally shows mein kya hota hai, they focus more on the fact about how the characters are AFFECTED by one another and that emotion is constantly battling with the comfort level that these two characters have with each other...so while that might make for an intriguing love story, per say...yahan pe the focus was more on how unabashedly comfortable and confident the characters felt with each other, right from day one- mere liye the best example of this is when Abhi comes into her room and is instantly shocked by the state of her room despite being so smitten by her- his very ability to be so calm and composed despite knowing he loves her sets him apart from other MLs for me...and even for her, so confidently she gatecrashed the wedding and the so easily accepted her love for him..there was and never will be any pretense with these two characters, sab kuch ekdum transperent hai...so kuch intrigue factor nahi tha (also probably the reason why mass audience couldn't find an attraction towards the show)... instead there was always an underlying comfort level from the word go... and ofcourse the major part of it came from PJ and ND ki growing organic camaraderie, which gave the feeling of Abhi-Meera already being together when they were actually not 😆 and hence now the feeling that they have been together for ages. 😳

I think I will never tire of saying that the team does a wonderful job, but today even that praise isnt enough...heck, even a standing ovation isn't enough...I think I will end by saying that- there are telly weddings and then there is an Abhi-Meera wedding...it won't be...can't be...recreated. I will remember this beautiful wedding for a long, long time... also, the show has set the bar for a slice-of-life show SO incredibly high now, I don't think I will fall in love with anything similiar anytime soon!

Loveddd your analysis as always, Mads! 👏👏 Especially the bits in bold...Bang on, man...bang on...loved your point about how they've always just been so transparent since day one...it's not the typical intrigue factor that is considered the hallmark of most TV lowe stories...for me, they will always be about the most unbelievably genuine vibe, an assurance these characters bring to each other...I know Meera was the one to say, "Abhishek sambhaal lega" but whenever they are together, I get the sense ki woh ek dusre ko sambhaal lete hain...and that too without any grand words or grand gestures...they are just so solid together, it's very hard to explain.

As you or someone else here mentioned, there was a solid 3 minute bit in the wedding during the Japanese stuff where hardly anyone was talking...only Mona with her adorable bows and greetings for everyone...and so so glad they didn't get into long winded dialogues for Abhi or Meera there...they just bowed and grinned along and that communicated everything about how happy they were and how adorable they found the whole thing.

This show is so lucky to have Saloni...that kid has such a solid comic timing and is so naturally adorable, she made that scene perfect...in some other kid's hands, it may have gone OTT but she did it just right.

And I loved the point you made about how the whole effort went into NARRATING the scene rather than endless amounts of money spent on clothes and decoration...that is how it SHOULD be...so glad to see a show investing in the things that actually matter.

Sorry you lost your other post :(...would have loved to read more...lol aage ke liye tip...use the preview post thing...I try and use that always whenever I'm making a long post...IF has a tendency to eat up posts many times.

And re: gifs...arey pucca yaar...gonna gif the hell out of this when I get a chance😆

But I do not like dwelling on it too much. So this was just perfect.. They showed the kanyadaan..what more is important than that.

Bacha party all excited, jaya in tears everyone's emotion so well captured. No random panning and zooming showing how well the place is designed but focusing on emotions. Background just becomes that.. Background!!! The joy is watching these people, ...settings, dress tho just add to the happiness around!!! That's always been the usp of this show. Arre poori shaadi Pant bhavan mein hi khatam ho gayee.. No one is complaining..😆
Why should we.:-)
@attn to detail- word on kapil ramraj bit. Lol. N also during phera jaya nudging prahalad to throw the flowers.

You know beech mein there were no dialogues for 3-4 min only Mona's Japanese line...n then again no dialogues. Don't know how this show manages to bowl us over.. sometimes with beautiful conversations n then scenes like this were no conversation is required.

Sab NE bahut pyaar SE banaya hai bbkd ko.. Everyone.. Camera, writers, editors of course the actors.. It just shows on screen. I may be biased towards bbkd. But sach mein woh pyaar dikta hai.. Like it's your baby n you'll do anything for it.. Specially the last ten days wale epis .

PJ n ND require another post!!! They are special.. Very very special

Dude, rituals are meant to be solemn and beautiful but that quality is lost in the fact that most shows go over the top in hyping stuff...the actual meaning of stuff is lost then...this is the first time I've seen a show focus so beautifully on the rituals without making it OTT.

As you said, the background was allowed to be the background, thus adding to the natural quality of the scene...director saab ko kudos...this is some different kind of direction we got to see in this show.

A random thing I noticed...lol Abhi was sitting on the other side during his wedding with Radhika...they switched places for the wedding with Meera...was this intentional by the show makers? LOL ki dikhaana ho everything was WRONG about the ceremony happening with Radhika and when it came to Meera, sab sahi jagah pe aa gaya😆

In the beginning when he sees Meera. First he hardly to see her.. Then looks down at her dress.. Realizes it's his mother's,.. Happiness.. Looks at babli.. N then the pride.. Oh this is actually happening look.. Mesmerised by her.. Look before avni n Anita pull him towards the mandap.. Looking back just to confirm that is not his dream.. Fabulous.fabulous expression by PJ.
I took so much time writing it down.. It just took him seconds to emote..

Meera/ND - is like joy personified. That smile is infectious. I was smiling throughout coz she was. Her joy during the Japan theme.. No the ENTIRE time.. Was aww..

Anu - you were right.. Something about them together.. Vibe as they like to call it.. Lol... Adds that extra bit to the scene.
inseparable hi ache hai😆

hahaha see, see...INSEPARABLE is the word of the week right now :P

Word on the range of PJ's expressions there...he has such emotive eyes and more importantly, he manages to show a graph to Abhi's emotions each time...aise nahin ki he just keeps smiling endlessly...you see all the micro shifts in Abhi's emotions as he processes what he's seeing in front of him and then slowlyyy his smile lights up his face...I've become a fan of that transition...ki jab hi smiles, it has this really sweet build up to it and then it becomes all megawatt on his face😆

ND is real life khushiyon ki factory, period...lol that quality to Meera comes all from her only😆

The guy has to sit on left n girl on right initially n then after sindoor daan, girl has to come on left side n guy on right...there is a meaning for that too...lol...girl is closer to husband's heart now that sindoor has been put n she is his wife...with radhika it was wrong coz abhishek was on right side initially only...

Hahahha.. I didn't notice that Anu!!
I noticed one thing though.. He applies sindoor while jaane kya hai rishta tere mere beech mein playing in the background.
Filmy dimmag mera!!! Lol

Oh n Abhishek didn't forget to look at babli after the pheras.. Such detailing !!

Word on Mona!! She is a cutie pie... No wonder everyone dotes on her.
Special mention to Jaya- it was as if it's her real life daughter's marriage.

This show has captured the true essence of marriage.
Celebrating coming together of 2 people in the most authentic way BBKD has outdone even real life weddings.
Less is more has been the USP of the show and I am so happy they never drifted from its core.
A radiant Meera, an awe struck Abhishek, their sheer happiness and them ❤️ their wedding was as unique as them.

Writers can't be appreciated enough for handling everything so well 👏
The same things could have gone terribly wrong had it been not for the amazing writing and brilliant execution.
This team just wins your heart with the joy they get in bringing the best content to us.
Show like BBKD is made once in a blue moon.

This shaadi was just so perfect.
A close knit, fast paced affair..just like it should be 😆😆
Abhi-Meera are viewer's delight and you just want to celebrate life with them.
They grow on you..their screen presence is addictive.

Well done team BBKD for giving us the best shaadi we have ever seen.
Writing, acting, direction, lighting, costumes..top class 👏👏👏

P.S. Papa bolte ho ki Dad? This was my favorite part of the epi.
Such a slice of real life ❤️
Writer uncle 🤗
