M.S Dhoni - The Untold Story grossed over 100 crore worldwide in its first weekend. The film scored over the Shahrukh Khan starrer Fan thanks to its India business as Overseas was 50% of Fan. It is the third film this year to top 100 crore worldwide with Sultan and Fan being the other two. In terms of the all time list it is the 12th highest opening weekend worldwide collection which is a big achievement as its among big star cast films. The Overseas business of the film is looking to be close to $3 million with US / Canada bringing in $1.18 million and Gulf around $800k. The lesser craze of cricket and Dhoni in overseas has meant a low performance in comparison to India but that is expected. Looked at a cast point of view, the number is huge in Overseas. The top worldwide grossers for the opening weekend in 2016 are as follows.
