There are seldom actors in Tellywood who can play a wide variety of roles. Kashmiri lass Shaheer Sheikh is one such lucky dude. After impressing us as Arjun in Star Plus Mahabhrarat now he is flooring the world with his superb performance as Dev Dixit in Sony show Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Hi. The character requires him to play both a devotional son and a lover. We are waiting with bated breath when he will show us how men get caught between wife and mother.

The best part is that Shaheer's fan following includes not only young girls but also middle aged ladies who are going gaga over his acting. His chemistry with co-star Erica Fernandes is too die for.
This Beyond Dreams production will now really take off with wedding of Dev and Sonakshi. We hope the creative team show lots of romance and yes some kind of consummation scene. We need to grow up and accept tht sex is an integral part of married life.

Skeptics may point to low TRP's of the show but then this can't be blamed solely on Shaheer and Erika. We all know that Sony has it's own set weakness. The sheer number of messages on Social Media is a clear indication of the success of the show on among youth TG.

We also need to appreciate the fact that Kuch Rang is not your normal high drama TRP guzzler. It is deals with issues on a much more sensitive plane. So it would be wrong to demand sky high numbers.
Shaheer who is now a face to reckon with in distant Indonesia courtesy success of Mahabharat came back home as he missed India. Else he could have continued to make better bucks overseas. Plus he deliberately chosen a show which goes against the grain for he wanted to be part of meaningful TV and not be a part of the naag naagin herd. Even if worst case scenario happens and Kuch Rang does go south he can easily go back to Jakarta where work is waiting for him .

Very sensible article ...and they clearly explained the reason for low trp.I think it's high time Indian Television redefine their TRP process.Today's youth prefer social media ,online viewing and the popularity of the show cannot be just based on TV viewing alone and also international viewership has to be considered.

From what I have seen this serial seems to be popular one and that explains why Sony promotes this show like crazy.I have never seen such a huge promotion for leads wedding .

With the new show Behad starting I hope they don't neglect us like how our neighbor show was treated.

Last but not least Shaheer is an amazing actor and he deserves all the appreciation he is getting. Glad he choose show like KRPRAKB instead of RS or Ekta kapoor show.

Yes us true women if all ages like him I am 45 and I tell hubby I have a date with dev Monday to Friday @9:30...lol...he says his date us with sona...lol.

Awesome article. ...waiting to watch how he juggles between his wife and mother without hurting either of them. ...consummation scene will have to be shown some day or the other only hope its not clinched and over dramatic. ...simple aur beautiful sa ho bus...meri taraf se use bahut badi pucchi jis par itna bada article likha gaya hai
