Ash gets candid

Aishwarya Rai and speculations go hand in hand and especially in the year 2007, the Bachchan bahu has been making headlines more for her personal life than her professional commitments.

Speaking to the media, Aishwarya Rai tried to clear the air for rumours mongers on host of issues right from working with Will Smith to her role as Jodha in her forthcoming release "Jodha Akbar' and on speculation over her pregnancy.

When quizzed about the recent statement made by the Hollywood actor – Will Smith – where he had expressed his desire to get jiggy with Bachchan bahu, Aishwarya said:"Great idea, but somehow, it didn't work out in my schedule. I would love to work with him as he is a wonderful actor."

Further talking about the speculation surrounding her forthcoming release 'Jodha Akbar' as historians have given it a thumbs down since they think that Jodha Bai hasn't been portrayed accurately in Ashutosh Gowarikar's magnum opus, Aishwairya averred: "He is not giving a history lesson. He is not out here to sit and dictate that this is history. What he has done is actually gone and spoken about the possible love story."

And silencing rumour mongers over the biggest speculation of this year whether Amitabh Bachchan would be blessed with a grandchild soon or not, she said:"What is one supposed to do. The media keeps on speculating."

It looks like that the Bachchan bahu is expert in tackling speculations and controversies with dignity and without batting an eyelid.
