Many people like Shyam Benegal, Anurag Kashyap, Sid M, Juhi Chawla, Kjo also supported Pakistani artists...no one said anything to them. Is it because the former are Muslims?

Salman Khan is in hot waters once again as he gave a straight and bold statement stating that Pakistani artists are not terrorists.

"Ideal situation should've been of peace but if this thing happened (Uri attacks) there has to be a reaction to that action but in this day and age I think if we live with love and peace it'll be better for everyone, especially common man. They were artists, not terrorists, these are two different subjects. What you think? That artists are terrorists? They come with valid visa, who provides them with visa? our Government, our govt provides them work permit.

Earlier Raj Thackeray slammed Salman's statement and now Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut has gone on to say that father Salim Khan should keep his son Salman Khan under house arrest.

"When the country is in peril and there is prospect of war against Pakistan, his father Salim Khan should put his Salman under house arrest, because one doesn't know what he will say when and insult his father," Raut told the media. "No one in his (Salman) family has died for the country, therefore he keeps blabbering. Even taking morchas (protest march) to their homes have no impact," Raut also said.

Raut also praised veteran scriptwriter Salim Khan for taking a strong line on Pakistan. "One one hand, Salim Khan gives Vande Mataram slogan, takes a firm line against Pakistan, he raises voices against ills in the Muslim religion and Salman Khan being from the same family, speaks like a fool. Cine stars or those from the Indian film industry, their lips should be permanently sewn, especially Salman Khan."
