Chapter 18

Jalal slowly walked out of the water and stood before Jodha...he smiles and raises his hand to touch her face when she vanishes..Jalal looks around everywhere for her but finds no trace of Jodha...he looks at the ocean ahead of him again...

"Jalal!!!" Jodha woke up shouting from her sleep...Suraj came running in after hearing her scream..

Suraj: Jodha..(after getting no response from her he shakes her by holding on to her shoulders) Jodha!! What happened? (Jodha came out of her nightmare and looks at Suraj...she hugs Suraj and starts crying) Jodha its alright...what happened?

Jodha: I had a nightmare that something happened to Jalal...I have a very bad feeling

Suraj: I am sure its nothing..you have been having the same nightmare for the past two years

Jodha: I know but this time it seemed so real...I have a very bad feeling...like he is going to do something to himself..I don't know (she hugs him tighter and cries...)

Suraj: Nothing will happen Jodha..I promise...

Jodha: We have to find him soon...

Suraj: I know...that is why we came here...my detectives gave me information about Jalal living here somewhere...we will find him soon

Jodha (looks a him): but where? It is going to take forever to search him in this city

Suraj: Jodha you have faith in me right? (she shakes her head yes) then don't worry we will find him for sure...now get some sleep..call me if you need anything..

Jodha: ok..(she lies down on the bed again..she holds her mangalsutre in her hand tightly..."I don't know why but I feel he is close by...Jalal where are you?" she cries until she doses off...Suraj looks at her with pain..)

Everyone looks at Jodha shocked after what she said... all the guests started to leave one by one ... it was no longer a marriage ceremony..Suraj looks at Jodha with pain..."I am sorry Suraj but I can't marry you...I don't think I was ever in love with you...I have realized that now...I still love Jalal..."

Rajiv: What are you saying Jodha...after what he has done..you still want to go back to him?

Jodha: I know papa what he did was wrong...but he was my first love and I just can't bring myself to hate him (she moves toward Suraj in her wedding outfit) Suraj please am sorry..I should've said something before but I was confused...but as I was sitting going through these rituals I realized there could be no one else in my life besides Jalal

Rajiv (shouts): Geeet!!! (she and everyone looks at him shocked) I have never said anything to you before..I let you do whatever you wanted...but this time I will NOT let you ruin your life all over again for Jalal..who abused you mentally and physically...

Jodha: Papa...he realized his mistake...don't you think he deserves a second chance

Rajiv: NO!..I don't think he does..because of him I was separated from you for four years...you know what I went through thinking you are dead..

Jodha: So did Jalal...and he is paying for what he did..I know he has changed (she holds his hands) I saw whole new Jalal from his eyes..I know it..please papa trust me

Rajiv: Jodha...listen to me...men like him cannot change..maybe he was acting just to get you back...I can't let you do that

Suraj: Jodha is right...(both look at him in shock) I know after what Jalal did to Jodha...it is hard to believe if he changed or not..but we can't deny the fact that he is repenting for what he did..or else why would he leave everything behind for her happiness

Rajiv: Do you even know what you are saying?

Suraj: Yes and I will do everything in my power to help Jalal and Jodha get back together...

Jodha (hugs Suraj): I am sorry Suraj..I never meant to hurt you...but it is true I cannot live without Jalal..please find him...

Suraj: Don't worry you have my support..I will hire some detectives to search for him

Suraj Pov:

It hurts me Jodha to see you like this..I still love you and I hoped that you would forget Jalal every day for the past two years...but I know that your love for him is unconditional...I will never stop loving you even when you are back together with Jalal...I made a promise and I will fulfil my promise..nothing matters to me more then your happiness...you have suffered enough Jodha...

Jodha Pov:

I know Jalal is some kind of danger...I feel it...I don't know why but I know I will find Jalal here..and when I do..I will never let him get away from me even for a second...where are you Jalal? I need you..please come back to me..I am sorry...(she laid there crying with her eyes closes...) her father was never able to forgive Jodha for deciding to go back to Jalal...Suraj tried talking to him but it all went in vain...Jodha hopes that one day he can forgive her and know that Jalal really has changed...

Jalal went to his house...No I cannot kill myself...I still need to be punished...I cannot die...but I am glad that he is happy with Suraj...that's what I wanted all along...now I cannot interfere in her life..yeah I will stay away from her...starting tomorrow

Suraj: Jodha get up...we have to start our search today for Jalal (Suraj checks for her temperature and notices she has high fever...he calls the reception lobby when no one picks up he runs down to get some help)

Suraj: I need someone to call a doctor...hurry (Jalal who was hiding saw the panic and fear look in Suraj's eyes..."did something happened to Jodha?..I need to go check..but how?" Jalal went toward their room...when he saw the door opened he silently sneaked a look inside the room...he saw Jodha lying on the bed..unconcious...he wanted to go in but stopped himself seeing Suraj patting her head...Jalal quickly goes to the doctor when he sees him coming in the hallway...

Jalal: listen don't charge anything to these people..I will pay you the full amount...just say that it is free of charge and the hotel paid for it

Doc: but sir

Jalal: do as I say..I will pay you double..understand? (doctor nodes his head...) good now go and let me know about her current condition (Jalal leaves after seeing the doctor go in...he patiently waits for the doctor to come with the information about Jodha..."what happened to her? she looked so pale...I hope she is fine...")

Doc: Don't worry..she just had high fever due to stress

Suraj: Is there anything to worry about?

Doc: No..just makes sure that she eats and takes her medication on time

Suraj: Yes sure..I will...here you doctor you fees

Doc: umm don't worry about it..it has been paid

Suraj (was shocked): Paid? why whom?

Doc: (hesitates): by the hotel..now please excuse me I have to go (doc meets up with Jalal and tells him everything...Jalal was relieved that she was fine..."Jodha I will make sure that you get better soon..even if I can't come in front of you...")
