If Banning Actors Can Stop Terrorism, Government Should Do It: Varun

September 27, 2016

Talking about the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena's (MNS) demand to ban Pakistani artistes from working in India, actor Varun Dhawan says if government feels that by banning actors they can stop terrorism, then they should do it.

"I follow the Indian government rules. Whatever government thinks needs to be done, I support that. I totally stand with government of India. If banning actors can stop terrorism, they should do it. But that is something government needs to decide first," Varun said at the Night Life Convention Award on Monday.

If banning actors can stop terrorism, government should do it: Varun Dhawan

Following the Uri attacks, which took place on September 18 and left 18 Indian soldiers dead, MNS on Friday gave a 48-hour ultimatum to all Pakistani film and TV artistes to quit India or face consequences.

Talking about the attacks, Varun said, "My heart goes out for those soldiers. It was a horrible attack on them."

On film front, Varun is currently shooting for "Badrinath Ki Dulhania" with Alia Bhatt.

But the govt has not banned any Paki artist...its fringe elments indulging in it. The govt can show its intent by not granting them visas, which it hasn't yet so lets wait and watch before blaming the govt.Edited by gatheringstorm - 7 years ago

He is very clever , here he is targeting MNS in my opinion and saying what we all are saying that if banning artists stops terrorism then GOI should ban it legally .

The article is misinterpreting a little. In the video he makes it clear, that it's the government who should make these decisions and do what they feel, he didn't say it should be done.

If Banning Actors can stop terrorism, Government should to it...VARUN...

Varun what should be the case

Banning Actor only
