Many of you are confused about the whole thing we are facing now, and many are used to what is happening because they had experience the same before. I am making this post for the people who are dealing with this whole mess for the very first time...
I am one of those who already had their heart broken for one or more shows. The very first time I had been exposed to the credulity of Channels & Ph dirty politics and actor's tantrums had been with IPKKND, but that time I wasn't too attached to the show. When I got to know it was ending, it didn't really matter to me because I could see that the actor is bored with continues meangingless tracks even though it was his absence which had messed up the flow of the show in the first place. All things said, I moved on. Then came Qubool hai, my second Indian show and I was invested in it and how. But then KSG left QH, all the dirty politics and blame game started...
But that time, IPKKND fans had set the trend of 'trending', and QH fans followed their footprints and did the same. They trended for his come back for months. They begged, pleaded and threaten Zee, ph and what not. We have written long letter, I myself had, and one of us had printed it all and posted and mail it to Zee and Ph. But KSG didn't come back...
All things said and done, fans still had spend months, really months, tweeting Zee to do something about it. And the truth is, when KSG left the show, it was only some 120 episode old, but the show didn't stop. It was on air for years, the old fans stopped watching it and the new fans started to join in, nothing stopped. They said 'the show must go on' and it did...
For me and many old fans, QH, Zee and Gul shows became something we avoided and still do. As funny and immature as it sounds, the wounds are still open. And many of us healed only after discovering something better, which took years...
It was 2013 then, and it took me almost 2 years to move on, only because I found something better in ky2. The story was strong and very well-written. I enjoyed it and am going to cherish it for life. But even that show got ruined after some point. Then I discovered that rarely a show runs smoothly without the Ph and channel doing their own behind the scene drama and dirty politics.
Ky2's first season ended brutally, the actor who played the male lead left the show and there was no hope that he will ever come back or that we will get a proper end as in the last episode, to cover up his absence, they showed that the male lead had a car accident and was missing from the scene of the crime. They left the end open because it was undecided if there would be a second season or not. The Ph was pushing for one and was still in talks with Mtv. And a week after, they aired the first episode of the 2nd season where the MALE lead was missing and probably dead.
The leasson:- The Ph put their best effort to make the channel agree, without the male lead, who to be honest, was more important for the TRP and fangirls than the show itself. But The channel agreed as they did want to. That means, both Ph and the channel can do whatever the want to, an actor or actress can't be the reason for them to end the show. (Which means Nikkita doesn't has any power to say 'yes' or 'no' here when it comes to ending EDKV or not.)
Ky2's attraction were Richa Yamani, the amazing Cvs and Parth, the male lead. Richa had to leave the show because she was ill and Parth wanted to discover more than playing a character which wasn't being written well anymore. The second season without these two had no meaning, but still, Ph and MTV were all up for the second season, so there was a 2nd season.
Many were disappointed, 70% of us stopped watching the show. MaNan and Parth-Manik's fan trended for MONTHS for his come back, even though he said he has no intention. But still, the fans went on and trended for months and months...But this time, they did get a positive result. Parth did melt and agreed to come back to give the fans their happy ending. A few days after that, MTV & Ph and Parth met up and then a week after he was back as Manik.
So, what I am trying to say is, don't give up if you really want EDKV to not end. We have time till 7th Oct and even after that. Don't take 'no' as an answer if you don't want to, keep trying till you can. Only the fans who had been persistent succeeded in their mission. While it's true that it's tiring and we shouldn't have to deal with this whole mess only because we have committed the crime of watching a Sony show with a dead brain Ph, but that is how it is and we have to deal with it. They are busy in playing dirty politics and the blame game, while we suffer. The only power we have is to try to persuade them, threaten and tell them that we are going unsubscribe the channel and continue trending...
At this point, I have discovered that nowadays rarely a show runs smoothly without Ph and channel doing their own behind the scene drama. So, all you have to do is try your best because if you don't do that, you are going to regret it whenever you look back, whenever you think about anything related to ShraMan and EDKV. With each and everything that reminds you of EDKV, you are going to feel the pain of emptiness, because it doesn't matter if you give up or continue to trend, the incompleteness of EDKV is going to haunt you for a very long time. God, the emptiness it's going to leave behind...🥺
If you don't want to feel it, do whatever you can to save your show till you have time...Don't give up till there is even a lil hope. If not for anyone else or anything else, at least you yourself will know you have done your best...
