I had been anticipating that something like this would happen, because I've never had much faith in Gul or her creatives. I always thought that I'd be so furious if Vrushika was made to leave the show, but now that it has happened - I am very relieved and happy.
Vrushika deserved better and now she can finally move on. She was tied down to a show with steadily declining trps, a show where she was one of six leads, and worse, she had fewer scenes than a cameo. When the writers lost direction for her story-line, she was left hanging. Her fans were blamed for this, and the writers took no accountability for their writing. Worse still, Vrushika and her fans were strung along with false promises of her return. This entire experience has been a frustrating spectacle, but will have been invaluable for Vrushika. At least, she will think twice before agreeing to certain shows and scripts.
I feel proud of Vrushika for handling the entire situation with such grace and dignity. Once again, she proves her mettle by facing rejection and adversity with optimism and class. Thank you for being a wonderful role model for your fans.
I also thank the PH for letting Vrushika go. Now she can move on to bigger and better things.
As much as I am happy for Vrushika, I am heartbroken for the loss of Ishaana. She was a character, I was extremely invested in. She made me cringe at times, but she also made me laugh. I respected her tenacity and her sheer will to go to any lengths for her family - I related to her. I loved how flawed and quirky she was. I'm going to miss Ishaana, and I will never be able to watch Isqbaaz again with the same enthusiasm.
Good bye Ishaana and good luck to Vrushika.
I will forever remember you as beautiful, broken, bubbly Ishaana.
